It is pretty clear that Nachbar is not gonna get many minutes on this team. We even play scrubs like Adrian Griffen and Scott Padgett ahead of him. If so, should we trade him? What do you think we can get for him?
If he gets traded along with Cato, for example, you can pitch him as a "well he never really got a chance, still young and raw, could be the next Jiri Welsch". But individually, he has no trade value whatsoever. He may be valuable when trading the exception. Say we want to sign n trade for Wallace, the exception is just 6.9M, but the exception and Nachbar is 8M+. The question for Detroit is whether this guy is worth one year @ around 1M, considernig he never really got a chance to play and showed some good flashes when he did. Maybe, maybe no.
After we got a perfectly good backup "Four" for a Moochie Freaking Norris, nothing seems impossible anymore... Specifically, untill you have racist owners like Larry Miller and r****ded GMs like Scott Layden, I will believe that Snackbar could bring us a pair of second rounders or a late first rounder.
Kayman, you're better than this. Please re-read your post, look in the mirror and ask yourself who is being racist.
because they play video games together? i doubt it. however, i think it's silly to think of trading him. He may yet find a place on this team even if not this season.
maybe boki would be like sam mack, he'll go to a bad team and put in some solid numbers... the games are just too important right now to take any risk... Unless Boki average like a penta doubles in practice, he probably won't play.
Tuesday morning I went to the Toyota Center and saw him practicing. He was the only Rocket practicing at that time. He was shooting while a couple of coaches were rebounding for him. I returned later in the afternoon to pick up my tickets and he was still there practicing. I thought for sure that he would play that night against the Clippers, but he did not. I feel sorry for the guy he puts in a lot of hard work, but rarely get to play anymore. Just like Steve, he does not fit in the JVG system. Boki’s strengths will never be shown in this system. I think Boki would fit in real nice with Dallas or Sacramento. The only place he has trade value is Phoenix. Mike D'Antoni, who is the head coach for the Suns, has coached him before. He knows Boki’s true value.
aww poor guy It's probably best for him to go elsewhere where he can actually play and develop, but I'd hate for him to leave without an actually chance here
I would say trade Boki for 3 Happy Meals and a dozen McNuggets, but Yao gets that stuff for free now, so why bother.
Bryce Drew used to do the same thing. I think Boki still has great potential, but barring something serious happening, he's a goner. There's just too many players ahead of him in the rotation. And now that we're working the ball through Yao, it sucks because he would do much better.
Nachbar SHOULD be traded while he still has youth value. IMHO, he doesn't have the raw talent to get valuable minutes in the NBA. The problems with Boki are as follows: 1. Poor defense (flat-footed on D) 2. Average shooter (considering he was drafted for his supposed shooting talents) 3. Lost quickness in his first step (another supposed strength) 4. Poor rebounding 5. Lack of size for a forward 6. Lack of speed for a guard What's a Boki to do??? theSAGE
I would have replied, however, a similar thread was locked a couple of days ago, and I don't want to get on Clutch's bad side at exactly this moment, if you know what I mean
we can only wait to see what will boki be, a "R. Murray"/"Z.Randolph" or a "T.Morris". ps: i wonder why rox didn't re-sign the 16.3 ppg jason collier and trade cato...
