would love to see if we could sign Felix to a ST invite or low level deal. Surely at this point in his career, he’d like to play for a winner. Would be a reclamation project for sure, but what do we have to lose? Especially with an opening at SP5. I don’t think it’ll go anywhere, but I’d like to take the gamble.
What surprised me was that Mad Bum only turned 30 in August. He's got a bit of a temper but surprised he didn't get a bigger contract

I think he could benefit from having Greinke around...they have similar repertoires and went from hard throwing righties that were FB first to pitching off the change up.

You are correct. There were whispers of it when he was still an Astro..... that was the first I heard about it and the team was aware of the rumors. After he left the Astros it was joked about around the offices. Once he came forward with the cheating allegations it picked up more steam. I do not know if it is true. I have never met or spoken to anyone directly that has said they "dated him". However it is an odd thing to come up and to last so long. I know he is really close to his father and was too his mother as well. He has a son but is extremely private.
I've wanted so badly to start a "Roast of Mike Fiers" thread but I can see a bunch of posters here getting upset and finding it "not classy" so I've held back my urge. But wow so much good content...I mean the man has a "FIERS" arm sleeve tat in crappy Mexican font. You would think a grown man who is relatively big, completely bald, has arm sleeves and plays in the MLB would be one tough SOB...but nope I don't think the man could be a bigger p*ssy if tried after snitching on your former team for "potentially minor cheating" (it's not like we hacked into another teams systems and stole their data like the Cards) two years after being released and taking the WS share money and ring with no issue. Prior to the start of the 2017 Playoffs, Hinch and Cora likely started doing some game planning and came to the conclusion that "Wow if one of our SP go down and Fiers has to pitch for us, the only chance we have of winning when he pitches is if we literally know what pitch the opposition is going to throw and we just outscore them". As they continued to think it through further, they realized we would still likely be at a disadvantage as Fiers pitching against opposing hitters who don't know what pitch he is throwing is still worse than any other MLB Playoff SP even when we know what pitch is coming. So the system was born and it became so intricate all because of Mike "Flat 88 MPH" Fiers, a man so trash that not even Strom or our analytics team could fix him. Thinking it through, I suppose it would be frustrating to watch everyone else come here and level up while you continue to suck. When you are so bad that even cheating can't help you succeed (we all know that was pine tar or something illegal he was using), it's probably demoralizing and you likely start wondering..."Do I look like an ******* on the mound giving up all of these runs with this huge Fiers arm sleeve tat"? Well buddy you are going to look like a HUGE ******* when we tear you up this season with no "sign stealing advantage", because news flash, we don't need to know what pitch you are throwing...they all f***** suck.
