Only good thing about that half is that they are down 19.

This should easily be a 30+ lead for the Spurs and completely over like that Heat game. Rockets can still win this with a strong third quarter.

 

This. And right now Harden's #1 goal is to average 40 a night. D'Antoni created a monster that he no longer has any control over.

That's the problem.

 

That's silly. They are incredibly rare or he wouldn't be able to average almost 40 points per game. He sometimes has bad shooting nights but he usually finds other ways to contribute. This is one of those incredibly rare games where he just looks bad in most every way.

 

Russ has been load managing. Fresh legs. Everyone else has been run thru the dirt... especially Harden and Tucker

 

Also, Dantoni hasn't figured out yet that a NBA team needs more than one 6'10" player in the rotation for an entire game.

We keep on getting punked in the paint. At a certain point you have to understand the limits of PJ Tucker playing center. I'm tired of midgets in the paint.

 

Defense wins Championships not this team.

 

MDA losing this team is partially on him, but mostly on Tilman. It’s abundantly clear that he feels MDA isn’t the right coach (and I agree with his assessment). However, it makes no sense to keep MDA as a “lame duck”. Either extend him (which isn’t happening) or fire him. Put MDA out of his misery and get the team out of coaching limbo.

To be fair , tanking can definitely work.

The worst place to be stuck is in mediocrity... which we are not quite at . But right now can you honestly say we look like anything better than first round fodder ?

There is SOME talent on the roster , but I don’t think it’s enough . Even if it is enough it’s certainly not being maximized by the coach right now .

It’s an 82 game season and no matter what your ceiling is you are gonna take some lumps. But if you are a young developing team it’s a lot easier to take bad losses in stride.

 

I saw that dude on the bench. He looks healthy enough to me. They can't throw him out there to put one of those mitts up in Aldridge's face? This roster has problems.

Harden will be the only one back and still not get back on defense. That sh-t is so frustrating. Imagine watching that as a teammate.

The last Murray dunk, Harden was the only one back, it was BMAC who ran back passed Harden to try and contest the shot.

 

Who is that and is she single? Asking for a friend. Okay. My friend is MCW. Okay I pretend my friend is MCW.

The Rockets still have no answer for guarding him after all these years. I’m sure he circles all the Rockets games on his calendar and comes in licking his chops.

 

I'm not wrong. We're too inconsistent. We always have one really bad quarter in our games. We should be beating this Spurs team, not losing to them twice.

Even if we come back and somehow win this game, it just covers up the fact we have major problems.

 

I think the 2019-2020 Rockets are channeling the 2018-2019 Thunder.
