He've just won his arbitration case and can sign with any team in the NBA. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...ug=ap-baker-arbitrationcase&prov=ap&type=lgns We should definitely pick him up if it's for the cheap. Our front court defintely needs help and I think it's worth the risk to see if he pans out for the rest of the season. He has his demons with drinking but have undergone treatment for that already. Before relapsing again the guy was playing like the comeback story of the year. I think a winning atomsphere in Houston (felt kind of strang saying that) can be all the difference to him. We should pursue him before another team does and do it before we have to submit our playoff roster. Just to see if he will work out as a rox and a potential person to go to in the playoffs.
I hate to say it, but I think he is finished, he will never contribute like he used to, we can do better than him
Apparently, March 1st was the deadline for making the playoff roster, so it's probably not worth the possible disruption. Otherwise, I'd say to give him a shot.
It will take him 20 games to get into some sort of shape, at which point he won't be in the playoff rotation, so what's the point? Can he really do anything Weatherspoon can't do in the next 20 games?
eh... nah. He doesn't add anything we need.. possibly makes the team worse. Not worth the risk or money.
Not Baker. The guy threw away his career, he got back in shape and was doing well this season, until he got back on the juice. Say no to Baker.
I see a some black smoke coming off his tail pipe! I think his gonna need a new engine! He is done and the rockets is ready to lauch to the next level!
Hmmm, I didn't know the deadline for playoff Roster was Mar 1st, in that case I say let it go, forget it. But I still think Baker has some gas left in the tank if he can keep clean (first couple of weeks in the season), but I guess that's too big of a if for most people.
