What the hell? I never send my pants to the dry cleaners, but since I had 8 pairs of pants that needed washing and ironing, I decided to take the leap, rather than spend a Saturday afternoon trying to get every wrinkle out of each pair of pants (since I'm a perfectionist, this chore is very long and tiresome) On a side note, I always send my dress shirts to the dry cleaners, and they charge about a buck fitty each to clean. So I walk in to pick up 8 pairs of pants... and I get handed a $40 bill!!!!!! 5 bucks a pop? I nearly tore that lady a new one, but restrained myself and asked why it was so expensive. She rudely gave me a glare and said "Those are our prices." Is this the norm? If not, where the hell can I get pants done cheaper? $40 on cleaning 8 pairs of pants is ridiculous! I could buy 4-5 DVD's for that kind of money!!!!!
I hear they give a discount if you are married. $5 for pants seems really high. My local chain is about 3.50 or so.
Comet Cleaners does a 3 pants for $7.99 deal. But don't bring in four because they will charge you full price for the fourth.
