b/c of capela's rebounding binge and likely incentive payout, we'll probably have to attach assets to trade away GG in exchange for LTS
Seriously I underestimated his value. The three ball and the energy he brings. It’s a shame if one guy was going to keep up and thrive with Russ in the open court it was him with his insane athleticism. The amount of allyoops between him and Russ in transition would have been fun to watch
Gerald Green is streaky; but one of the amazing things about his game is that when the whole team catches the misses together and it seems like it's a psychological thing that has them all missing, GG comes out guns blazing completely unaffected by their collective lack of confidence. He changes the complexion of games in that way. It's definitely missed but I think Clemons has the potential to be that kind of guy.
I made a thread about him the first week of the season after mclemore proved to be underwhelming. Ppl thought I was hating or related Green light!!!
Lisfranc. No bueno. Gonna be a tough road to even make it back at all. not understanding the consternation though - Maclemore has played at a higher level over this past month (once he found his role).
Because Green is as fearless as they come. I have seen Ben pass on open threes out of fear, something Green would never do. There are times when either the team morale is low, or the pressure is high, when the basket becomes tight and everyone is missing shots, and fear starts to set in....it is then that you need players like Green with the dont give a **** attitude and that will keep shooting so the offense does not stagnate.
I forgot that he wasn’t on the team the pst two years when buttholes pucker and we go Ofer from the three point line. Yeah. Gonna miss him in those key losses. I like green - don’t get me wrong; but I think you’re overvaluing his overall impact. great quick shot, ice cold-blooded shooter you can go to with nothing left on the clock. Capable of heating up and hitting 5-7 threes in a game while throwing down a dunk. Poor on rotations defensively and has mental lapses about who he’s covering. I see Benny Mac as a similar profile with a more consistent shot and slightly better d.
