Robinson would probably want just as much money as Hakeem, so I think his point was that if we have to pay that money anyway, we better keep Hakeem.

My point was we can't/don't want to pay either one of them $10-$12 million. If Hakeem doesn't back down from that price range (if that's where he's at), we probably aren't keeping him. On the other hand, we have no idea how far David will come down, or has he stated his expectations?

I'd rather keep Olajuwon if for no other reason than for his local legend status.

And to answer your question about Robinson, I would take Cato over him. The only difference b/t them now is Robinson has a jump shot(I didn't say it was a good one). Cato IMHO is better than Robinson in the Houston Rockets best interest...

Don't confuse Cato's last few preseason games as some sort of career stat. Robinson could pull down 15 boards a game if Duncan wasn't there.

tariq: don't judge anyone by how they play against the Lakers.

Robinson isn't nearly as good as he used to be, but he's still a talented.

Duncan and Anderson didn't win all those games by themselves...

I'd rather get Antonio Davis and Robert Horry(do you see how well he's playing Duncan,I'm totally amazed). They would make the PF position very solid rebounding and scoring wise(won't put up big #'s but will give you easily more than we've had). Center position can still get Dream if we want and resign Bullard and Mooch. Or even Marc Jackson for more rebounding and defensive work. Don't forget our draft picks, we will trade one or all to someone for either players, 2nd rd picks or picks another year.

Robinson put himself volunteerly into the second option, when Duncan arrived. That explains his decreasing stats since that. But IMO is Robinson way better then Cato and i like to see him in Rockets. But he demands equal salary with Dream so the only way to get him would be sign&trade Cato for him but is there any team in the leagu, who seriously wants Cato???????
    I doubt it..

If we could land David, then maybe we could convince Dream to stay as the Dreamshake would get great practice at training [IMG]
