Yes, the evidence doesn't really matter to the Trumpublicans. The thing that will help is the evidence getting out before the public and turning them against it. That might put pressure on the Republicans to vote him out of office. What matters though, is that they go through the process and get the evidence out there.

If we had the recording they would say it was fake.

There is no goal post. It's a neverending treadmill of bad faith and obfuscation.

Whole world is laughing on USA, and people in North Korea or China could argue that their leaders are better than Trump. What a shame!

Credit to the Republican who just went, he has been the best cross examiner. He really made Sondland look weak.

Sondland comes out of this looking good imo. The Democrats look bad for the most part

I didn’t see this morning’s coverage, but so far they have been divorced from reality. Big time.

Hell, Trump himself was either tweeting or saying to the media (can’t remember) that Ambassador Sondland’s testimony today has been a positive for him. Why? Same reason for the Repugs’ questions to witnesses. Everything gets spun, truncated, or taken out of context for FOX State TV.

    What.....

I think you need to do a little more homework on the matter. What exactly do the Democrats look bad on???... Because they are investigating an instance where the CURRENT Ambassador to Ukraine and the EU have testified that there was a "Quid Pro Quo" (Sondlands words) with Ukraine where there were conditions for a meeting (and aid which he's being squirly on but Mulvaney and Trump confessed to) were reliant on a faux investigation into his political rival by Ukraine??

How is that overreach by the House of Representatives who are the sole oversight arm over the executive branch?

You are nuts if you believe this is something that should be allowed to be sanctioned by Congress for future White Houses.

What YOU are saying here is that you are okay with it becoming sanctioned for in 2023 for a hypothetical President Elizabeth Warren to call up the President of a country like Iran and say

"I'd like to relieve those sanctions on our end as part of the nuclear agreement, but I need you to do me a favor though.... I need you to investigate Nikki Haley (who hypothetically is running for president for the Republicans in 2024) and announce it via the media"

Under sanction of the Republicans in Congress now, and with the support of Trump voters like yourself, THIS WILL NOW BE ACCEPTABLE AND UN-IMPEACHABLE FOR A FUTURE DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT.

Why the F are you okay with that? I get you love Trump but holy crap your narrow minded view of the matter is incredibly dangerous to what behavior is sanctioned moving forward for future DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTS. Not just Trump.

Lol bro , you couldn’t be more wrong about where I stand

I admit I am only halfway paying attention

I am tired of being outraged . I just want to elect yang and get trump out of office

All I’m saying is I like sondland . I think he’s doing a great job of answering questions . The republicans questions are better lol . Sondland’s argument is piecing things together no ?

He’s admitted he doesnt have direct evidence (like I said didn’t watch opening statement)

Republicans are making it clear exactly what interactions he is involved with and has first had experience with

Democrats are focusing on how bad trump is vs asking questions about how sondland arrived at his thought process and why he thinks trump is involved .

Personally I think what trump did was wrong. And I’d vastly prefer that he is not in office. Conditioning foreign aid on something isn’t unusual. However , he crossed a line when the investigation was about a political opponent.

Now that I’ve been watching for another half hour I thought there were some very good Dem questions and some grandstanding rep questions

I’m just saying , as a first time viewer I like sondland . He’s coming across as honest and intelligent. And I think it’s working to the benefit of the republicans . I think it will move to a middle ground of “what trump did was wrong / careless , but it’s not an impeachable offense.”

Got it. My point stands for those who might not on its surface support Trump but still sanction this act whether it’s by reciting Trump talking points or by just essentially saying I’m not paying attention both sides suck.

I do personally believe there are plenty of independents and some likely Dem voters who simply need more education on what is going on so people can really understand why they should care.

I get it though... it is exhausting but I feel it’s important to find a way to help people who might be turned off by all things politics to understand why they should care.

    .....

Reg Saundland: I do think he’s an important fact witness but keep in mind this is his third testimony with changes, and his insistence on claiming to not know the connection between Burisma investigations and Joe Biden is laughable on its face, and puts him in deep risk of perjury. All it takes is one email with Biden’s name on it from a Rudy G. or someone else where Sondland is looped in on for his self defense and testimony to fall apart. I see that point and it’s the one area where I think he’s really trying hard to thread a needle and think people should note that for future reference.
