still the irrelevant melo hou saw a year ago. oh what a surprise probably lillard's fault. or maybe nurkic @rocketchamp desperately out here waiting on that melo moment of "CROW"
lol he is trash. Just isolate him and attack him mercilessly every time he is on the court. You are bound to score almost every time. And then let him jack up shots and kill his team's offense on the other end. Blazers had to be incredibly desperate to give this loser a chance. I thought Rockets were drunk as **** to sign him last year after how he crashed and burned in OKC. Then the Blazers came along and said...
Even Warriors, a team in full tank mode, stayed away from Melo. The goal is to tank. Not turn into a circus show.
At least Portland will be the ones accused of getting him blackballed when they cut him. We're finally off the hook.
I see him practice with these professional trainers and they're not making him better. Jab jab and shoot over 5'9 avearge joe. Work on your speed bruh, get underneath that squat rack and build some power that will equate to speed.
What's with all the piling on Melo? He didn't pan out for the Rockets, but some of you CFers act like this is personal.
Yeah, I don't get it. It didn't work out, but Melo didn't do anything to the Rockets. The Hate is to strong and should be funneled to Chandler Parsons or something.
Rockets fans had to sit through an entire offseason of the anti-rockets nba media create this narrative that the rockets, morey, dantoni, and harden did melo dirty by releasing him so early, and it was "personal". Even tho rockets fans WATCHED the games and saw how invaluable he was to winning, and how much better the rockets got once he was released, the rockets were still raked through the mud. his own boy lebron didnt even want him on the lakers. If lebron would have said, "i want melo", he'd be a laker. Espeically for the veteran minimum. Its not like hes commanding $30+million a year anymore He still doesnt play defense, he still doesnt offer ANY playmaking whatsoever, and his offense is inefficient and ineffective at this point in his career, and at this point in advanced nba analytics. He better have a big year or some people are gonna look foolish with this melo sympathy tour they built up all offseason.
He looked like a guy that hasn’t hooped in a year and half. I’m interested to see If the Blazers have the cajones to continue to start and play him significant minutes.
He was bad but considering its his first game in over a year.... anyways Im curious why Lebron didnt want to take on Melo with the Lakers tho
Anthony should have retired after the Hawks bought him out or accepted a lesser role (<10 mins a game) with a contender for 2-3 years to win a championship. Instead this fool is trying to become a starter at this point in his career while playing inefficient basketball and zero defense. This is just going to keep getting worse for him. Pivot Anthony. Pivot. And he's made close to 250 million in contract money. This is outside of any other endorsement deals. https://www.spotrac.com/nba/portland-trail-blazers/carmelo-anthony-2283/cash-earnings/
Well, logically you have a point, but this is the internet, and it's pretty epic how far he has fallen and how clueless he is about his own abilities. I think that's the main thing. People like to cheer against people who have delusions about themselves. [political comments redacted]
I like Melo I wanted it to work here bad. I’m in record saying it would work and he was gonna ball out.... I was wrong. there is just to much evidence at this point that no matter if Melo shoots good or not when he’s on the court the whole team struggles. his on/off and plus minus numbers are truly awful. Like shouldn’t be in the nba awful or at best should be sitting on the end of the bench being a vet mentor player coach deal. He’s just not even a bench rotation guy anymore. It’s sad cause his fak was fast and hard.
