No it's that idiot Drumpf who think Putin is his friend that's made us weak...and the fools like you who just drink up his ass juice
So you aren't big on the whole 'take personal responsibility thing'? That's fine. Neither is Trump. But even more to the point, what you talked about is a domestic thing and not really part of the international stage area being discussed here.
Yes, but I think that's as designed, a feature. Trump should just honestly state what he is doing - but he couldn't because the "weak" label is devastating to him personally. He is withdrawing from the world stage like a turtle retracting its head into the shell. It's his American first policy, to be less involved oversea and more focused at home. The US has to be weaker on the global stage because simply the US would be less involved. It's a choice. If you made that choice and execute it properly, while yes the US's global influence is weaker, it's an intended trade-off and I think American, disagree or not, can understand it. The problem is it has not been executed properly. It has been chaos. It has not reduced American involvement but has reduced American influence. And so rightfully, the poor execution by him and his admin have him viewed as weak. The most two recent significant examples are 1) Turkey pushed him around like a rag doll. I’m pretty sure the left didn't want him to abandon the Kurds in the way he did. Heck, I’m sure the right didn’t either. That’s a specialty of Mr. Trump. 2) NK did a 180 on the US... NK! JFC. That's not to include on-going and past examples of the world witnessing and wondering how Putin has been able to string him around like a puppet. It's embarrassing.
Yes. It's the Trump administration, that he ****-of-the-walks is all about him. If you're going to take the good credit, you have to take the bad credit, too. Turns out the best way to know how to grab a ****y is to be one yourself.
His international position is undermined because, despite being an incumbent with a good economy, he is somehow at risk of losing the next election -- if Congress doesn't remove him first. Kim can gamble he'll get a different deal out of the next president. Iran can try to outlast him and maybe get sanctions relief from the next president. So, sure the endless undermining has an effect. That doesn't mean it isn't Trump's fault. It is his fault the public doesn't like him. It's his fault he does things that look impeachable. It is his fault he can't give the public an adequate explanation of how he's executing his office in the public interest. If Trump himself wasn't so weak, he wouldn't injured by these challenges. He also has this problem of spinning the wheel of the policy ship hard to starboard. He went a starkly different direction on many foreign (and domestic) policy issues without doing much of anything to persuade Congress, careerists in the apparatus of government, or the public of the wisdom (or even content) of his vision. I still don't understand why we should have better relations with Russia because he's never explained it. I still don't know what 'better deal' he thinks he can get out of Iran. I still get why he thinks Kim might surrender his nuclear power now that he has it. Since few are persuaded of his vision, policy is likely to return to the pre-Trump trajectory when he's gone. If he has another, lethal heart attack tomorrow, will Pence even know how to finish what he started?
He ran on removing our troops from endless conflicts and holding other countries accountable. You don’t think China wouldn’t be beating down our door if they didn’t think there’s a chance he won’t be around in another year? The world has watched this **** show that has undermined his authority and ability to get much more done and many are hoping they can get a pushover back in the office and restore the swamp.
Conservatives don’t like the taste of their own medicine? Where’s the conservative tea party opposition to this ballooning federal deficit and increased executive power?
You are right we shouldn't judge Trump too harshly when the Democrats are being such meanies to Trump. They do it all the time and the other nations see how mean the Democrats are being to Trump and it makes it hard for him to get along with the authoritarian dictators with whom he loves to pal around.
The issue is you were lead to believe things were a lot worse under Obama than they actually were. You incorrectly confused “globalism” as not a consequence of capitalism...
Now Canada openly talking smack. https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/04/politics/world-leaders-joke-about-donald-trump-nato/index.html What a freaking joke.
This one's for you and yea I'm tired of watching this shitshow...this is what you get when you elect a conman. Trump may send dozens of ships and 14,000 more troops to confront Iran only 2 months after vowing to pull out of 'ridiculous wars' https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-deploy-ships-and-troops-to-middle-east-counter-iran-2019-12
It's bizarre reading posts like this. The Republican Party has turned into a cult, a cult that believes anything that comes out of trump's mouth and anything he does, no matter how dangerous, no matter how absurd, no matter how damaging it is to our country, and to our friends and allies. To people like you who have "bought into trump," Russia is suddenly our "friend." Meanwhile, Putin is laughing hysterically. Laughing at you.
