Quid Pro Quo is part of the Republican Talking Points. Republicans use that phrase all of the time. The fact that they have driven the MSM narrative is a clear win for them.

There is a long lengthy line of Trump officials who have testified to the withholding of aid in exchange for Trump getting an investigation into his political rival. Not sure what more convincing evidence you need that Trump committed extortion. And the very fact he wanted to investigate the Bidens for political gain and use a foreign country to do it - which he has admitted to - makes him unfit to be president. If you are ok with this, then you are ok with treason and are willing to worship Trump as your dictator. That is your right. Fortunately you are in the minority.
This mistake provides concrete evidences that the WB would indeed be in danger. So, why does the POTUS and the GOP want to harm the WB?
We have arrived at almost a fascist like state where the president has become the state/nation where utilizing the basic constitutional system of checks and balances between branches is akin to treason for 35 percent of the country. 35% of the country believes that patriotism is blind devotion to an elected official.
The original accusation is extortion of a foreign country using the power of the presidency for personal political gain. Quid-pro-quo is just a term that means a favor granted with the expectation that the favor will be returned. That's not illegal if the quid-pro-quo is done at the behest of US policy rather than personal reasons. The illegal part is doing it for personal political gain.
I'd rather equate it to stubbornness and admitting to supporting a sham President than outright stupidity. If they concede at this point that Trump has been awful for the country than they would have to admit that 'dem libs perhaps are right on some things. Can't have that. It would go against the memes posted on Facebook where Trump's face is photoshopped on some Gears of War video game character with some quote about tyranny and freedom. Repost if you support our nation!
Conservative big brains (e.g @bigtexxx @Os Trigonum @MojoMan @cml750 ) What's the conservative spin/significance of this lawsuit featured in NYT? Is it just more of a CYA in case the House Republicans try to pin this whole affair on Mulvaney? In Seeking to Join Suit Over Subpoena Power, Mulvaney Goes Up Against the President https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/09/us/politics/mulvaney-trump-impeachment-subpoenas.html
He is doing that to cover his own ass - if the court says testify, he will tell Trump he had no choice, but will still not answer anything........they want the courts to rule they don't HAVE to testify.... That is what they are seeking. DD
don’t think it’s illegal but... it doesn’t look right more importantly, who is now the nsc expert on Ukraine ? That should have been the follow up question. but really, the admin is so dysfunctional that this isn’t a big deal
This openly questions whether Trump would ever release the military aid. I can see it now. Trump will say that there was no Quid (political investigations that assist his reelection) Pro Quo (military aid) since he had no intention of upholding his side of the bargain.
