Beto was clearly in over his head as a candidate for the nation's highest office. I wish him well in whatever future endeavors he takes on.

    Adios.

You voted for trump and plan to again... so I don't think your opinion carries much weight...

Beto was such a disappointment as a presidential candidate. Won't be missed.

This is good news, and he’s popular enough to make another Senate run worthwhile and that needs to be his next move.

He should have hung it up after stating that he would take everyone's AR15s...but no he had to go on and make even worse comments about revoking churches tax exemption status...I'm surprised this ignorant fool lasted this long.

    Kamala, are you NEXT?

This dude hired the wrong PR people. He could have taken this nomination in a landslide if he adopted Bernie or Warren's positions. This dude had no identity and tried to run on his internet viral accomplishments. He got seduced by the Obama people and forgot about grassroots.

I think a Senate run vs Cornyn would be disastrous and Cornyn would eat him alive.

While Beto was able to put a scare into Cruz, some of that was due to Cruz being extremely unlikeable. Hell, if Beto could have performed better during the Senate debate, he might have pulled out the win.

Cornyn isn’t really unpopular in the state; definitely not to the degree Cruz is/was. Factor in the shine wearing off Beto and it’d be hard seeing him come close. Better for him to jump into a House race that he has a chance of winning and let someone else give it a go. Maybe someone can take a cue on how Beto ran his Senate race and see if they can recreate the hoopla.

Somehow my opinion of Cruz has actually gone up lol.

I feel like he’s not lumped in with the polarizing figures of trump , McConnell , and graham . But then again , I don’t live in Texas anymore ... so maybe he gets more bad press there .

He’s just the right type of slimy to jump ship and come across the aisle for something ... which is what we need for both parties ( minus the slimy)

Beto learned what it's like to have to run a campaign without an adoring press. For Dems, the media and establishment are a must to win the primary.

He also badly got roughed up at the first debate. To me, that was key in his downfall. Same with Kamala in the second debate.

Sure, there are other factors, but the debates have been responsible for candidates surging and falling. A rare moment where people actually pay attention.
