I haven't checked in a month, but Wizards fans haven't been too happy with Etan Thomas. He's a good hustle player but his skills on both ends of the floor were questioned. It sounds like he's a good player to have in your rotation, but not really good enough to start.

I like Mihm although someone else can tell me if he has any more talent than Thomas. I like Mihm because he has size, length and the ability to get boards and blocks. He can play PF and C. The problem with Mihm is that he's really foul-prone. I don't know how good his one-on-one defensive skills are.

mihm looks like an even swap for cato #'s wise. the plus is he can hit the 15ft J. the minus is i don't think he is as good of a defender as we are looking for.

one question about him....how quick is he?

I don't think this is the case with Thomas and Swift. I think after the season the teams can tender a qualifying offer or some language like that and then match ANY salary if they so desire.

Swift brings the athleticsm to the 4 spot and Thomas brings the physicality to the 4 spot. Both are decent rebounders given their minutes and good weak side shot blockers. Neither are great on offense, but they are better than Cato offensively (at least keep opponents a little honest) and should keep on getting better. Worst case scenario is either guy becomes a good defensive sub at the 4 and spot guy to back up the C spot (freeing up to trade Cato). Best case scenario is they become solid all-around starting caliber 4s with a strong defensive and boarding presence, something the Rockets really need.

Love to have this guy as our PF. He's listed as a 7'0", 265lb, F-C. Shoots 50% this year.
Not bad for a journeyman (CLE/BOS).

No Mihm please! He is one of the worst passer ever in the NBA. He did not have his first assist until the second year in the NBA after 100 game or so. Cato is John Stockton comparing to him. Yep, Rockets defintely need another player who do not know how to pass.

Carols Arroys! He is putting some big number in Utah but Utah only signed him for a year.

Corrections: Mihm did not collect his first assist after 400 plus minutes of play.

I really think guy like Antonio Davis would fit well on this team, along with brent barry.

Unrestricted FAs I would be looking at (not necessarily all "bargins") are:

    Brent Barry
    Rasheed Wallace
    Eric Williams
    Charlie Ward
