First off i want to say that im sick and tired of mike dantoni antics and his small ball fascination, if it wasnt for the westbrook trade realistically we would probably be 1-3 right now. Also let me include that this is the exact way we started off last year, defense was extremly poor, until rockets were somehow able to bounce back and the signing of the manimal really seemed to help us.Now lets gets to the deal at hand ,4 games in and so far there has been revelations that need to be addressed ,first off lets start with tyson chandler ,yup hes a dinasour and morey and us fans hoped that he would be able to contribute in limted minutes but unfotunatluy after looking at his stats ,his play has been atrocious ,im talking bad (michael jackson). So far when opponents are guarded by tyson chandler they are scoring at a 58% clip and when they are within 6 ft of the rim it goes up even further to a whopping 80% ,this is the definition of unplayable.Answer ? I suggest we put in hartstein, i know he not fully develped but if theres one thing about hartstein is that hes a mobile big that has always brought defense,in 28 game last year coming off the bench opponents shot only 42 % when guarded by hartstein and 49% when they were within 6 ft of the goal both numbers are actually better than clint capelas and Pj's .Mike dantoni doesnt like to play rookies or young players but i believe he should take notes from Doc rivers who plays young players like landry shamet a 2nd year guard. One last suggestion is ,benching austin rivers ,so far opponents are shooting at 81% clip when they are guarded by austin some of it his fault and some of it its not because hes forced to guard taller defenders because of dantoni small ball , in his place dantoni should play Gary clark ,last year opponents shot 50% when guarded by clark ,,theres no reason to believe that he could of improved over the summer even a slight bit ,id rather have him in there to guard shooting guards and small forwards,. since hes 6-7 compared to austin whos 6-3.Also Morey Rockets need a real power-foward,trade for one please. Our defense is bad right now mike has nothing to lose by giving this a try.

More like its time to trade Hartenstein and Clark for protected 2nds that aren't likely to convey , freeing up two roster spots and then swing two separate deals using Chriss and Knight TPE's for guys making $3.2m and $3.6m - …. to sit on the bench until February 1st , then trade them both elsewhere on Feb. 2nd 2020 …. for a 4 making up to $8.5m.

Last year opponents shot 45% when guarded by Rivers, but u want to replace him with Clark because opponents shot 50% against him? Clark sucks. Removing AR out of the rotation for him is so disrespectful. Clark can’t play.

Hartenstein ain’t good either...both Clark and Hartenstein are just taking up roster spaces

He is slow. We can give 10 minutes for him. If we get another big 3 and lose caplea, we can move him as starter

The fact you guys are requesting for Hartenstein is more proof we made a HUGE mistake in not resigning Kenneth Faried.

I want him in a few minutes a game just to watch him block shots. Icing on the cake would be him hitting a 3. Put in Clint AND Hartenstein in for 2 or 3 mintes when a team chooses to go really big. If he got rid of the butter fingers it might happen more often.

Have you talked to Tilman's accountant before posting your reply?

'Kenneth Faried fixed our defense' is certainly a take. As is 'we would be 1-3 without Russell Westbrook'. Turns out, having good players helps you win games, who knew?

I'm all for giving Hartenstein a run, it's bizarre to me he's just sat on the bench in street clothes. But MDA's fascination with small-ball is because it's working. We have a +11.3 net rating in the 4th quarter with small ball. The starters are doing great, but down the stretch we're gonna go small, because so far it's winning us games in the clutch.

This paragraph is like one of those turds that curls around the entire toilet and needs a butter knife to make it flursh.

Seriously.. what happened to putting spaces after periods? Is that like not a thing anymore?
If someone tried to do a FTFY it might take the better part of an hour to get through this original post.

Haha, I have sympathy for the lack of readability in posting ... I used to do it too. Just break up your thoughts in paragraphs like others have mentioned and you'll have a lot more readability.

As far as the post itself, I heartily disagree with ever playing Hartenstein unless everyone's injured. I was scarred last year watching him routinely get smoked on every switch. I don't know if those stats are accurate because according to the eye test, he was the worst big out there and routinely enlarged the early deficits we were in last year, shrank the few early leads we had. The only thing he has for him is that he's young and has decent enough hands for pick n rolls.

Hartenstein should be played when he's improved enough to compete at this level.

So far, he looks competent about 1/4 of the time and lost the other 3/4. The bench is where he belongs.

A guy that tall and long got MVP of G league finals that a substantial amount of veteran bigs probably cannot achieve. He needs to work on his timing.

So are most bigs in their rookie season. If they show any promise they usually get more chances as a sophomore.
