I just wanted to know if anyone was watching this garbage excuse for a basketball game between the Lakers and Kings. I swear, I have never seen such atrocious shooting from such hyped offensive teams. Have the Kings even scored over 100 once in the playoffs? They are clanking from everywhere. Layups, jumpers, dunks- all clanks. This is pitiful. Oh, and when they're not bricking, their throwing passes into the third row. I feel sick...

They must recover, or the game will slip away from the Kings.

If they can get the lead to less than 10pts by the end of the quarter, there still remains a chance for the Kings, if not, then they will return home facing a deficit not easy to overcome.

I hate the Danny Ainge "Caught my Eye" segment. Its drivel, and its extraneous.

Yeah, who gives a crap what "Caught his eye"?

Oh well, Webber dumping Sacramento is looking more and more likely. The Lakers sweeping seems almost definite. So much for the Kings being "fun to watch". This is hurting my eyes, unfortunately, there's nothing else on.

I think Sacramento will be defeated tonight. O'Neal is having a better game than Game 1.

I don't think that Sacramento will be swept, they have a rowdy home crowd and they feed off the energy. If LA were to take two in Sacramento, that would be a bad omen indeed for the remainder of the NBA.

The Kings are shooting terribly & settling for outside ****s. It's ugly. They got Webber at Center now!

Adelman has gone with Webber at the center position. I think this will backfire on the Kings as it leaves them very small across the board.

I was about to post if anybody wants to go into chat and discuss, but how many ways can you discuss garbage?

Man, this 2nd half has been a laugher to this point.

That's what I've been wondering for a while ZRB, if we want a jump shooting PF that has a nice shot we should just resign Mo.

In my opinion, Webber's only edge over Mo is his rebounding. Outside of that, they are practically the same player. Mo is young, and could grow into better low post scorer. If this is Webber's prime, then I'm not sure I'd like him on the team.

Yeah, but keep in mind we're seeing him somewhat injured and playing against Godzilla. He's entitled to a couple of off games.

But I agree with you guys... he seemed way too finesse-oriented. I want something more akin to a physical presence on my front line.

BTW, that game ended pretty close... I don't know how they did it, but up until the end they were being destroyed, yet you look up and they only lost by 6. Strange.

It sure does seem like every night there is a game on there is a "what a terrible game" or "blank team is getting screwed thread" [IMG]

On Webber, I posted something to this nature in the rocks forum. Go to NBA.com and check out his playoff stats. Granted, he has been playing poorer during the playoffs. But he is still averaging 23 points a game, more than 10 boards a game, more than a steal a game, 2.5 assists per game, and over a block a game. His only problem thus far seems to be less athleticism since his ankle injury and thus less aggressiveness and settling for outside jumpers (which is the ONLY area Mo has him beat) and thus the lower FG percentage in the playoffs. Guys, these are generally amazing stats and, considering when fully healthy he shot nearly 50%, I will take him anyday of the week. It is never smart to put your eggs in one basket, but I sure hope most of the Rockets eggs are in the Webber basket this offseason.

Mo is the same player as Webber when Webber was in 8th grade.
There is no comparison between these two. C-webb is a physical player who likes to bang and be physical. He plays bertter D, is a better passer out of the post and knows how to get to the free throw line.
The ONLY advantage Mo has is outside shot.
Does a better outside shot make John Paxson a better player than MJ?
Comparing C-webb to Mo is like saying Collier is a better player than Dream. He has a better outside show and his low post scoring and defense could get better. See it just doesn't work.

Well, from the sounds of it, I'm happy that I chose NBA Live 2001 over this game last night. [IMG]

And the travesty is, the night started out so well with the Bucks-Hornets game, which was very enjoyable. And to think that the Bucks made their first national TV appearance in 10-20? YEARS just last weekend. For those that wish for better shooting, teamplay, and flow, watch the Bucks play.

If this were true, I would be doing anything and everything, like everyone else, to get him here. The problem, if you watch him, is that this isn't true. It almost seems like he has to be forced to get down on the block. What he likes to do is get the ball about 18-20 feet away from the basket, dribble, look for cutting players, take the 18 foot jumper, etc. He can be so much better if he did like to bang, but when you watch him play its painfully obvious he does not. He'll bang when he has to, and go down low if things aren't going good, but you need that all the time Chris, not just 30-40 percent of it. It's also for this reason I say we're better off resigning Mo, Dream, and a couple of role players (perhaps one being Marc Jackson, Ruben Patterson?) than bringing Cwebb here. On a ton of nights, he doesn't play much different than Mo at all. And he's about 6 years older as well. Webber can be the most dominating player in the league if he would go down low like he needs to... but the fact remains he still is not as comfortable down there as he is at the top of the key, and as long as that is the case he will still be wasting some of that immense talent he has.

I would rather have a big guy who can come out from the basket. Rememer how everyone insisted that Stevie couldn't play with CB4 & Dream always clogging up the paint.
You are right he needs to be in the post more though.
