So far, best in career by a big margin.
Top 5 in league on both, too.

My eyeballs tell me his is playing a very efficient game with an amazing pace. Generating efficient shots for both him and his teammates. What does all the data mean?

    Thanks,

Had to check for the "show ignored" option to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Sure enough, I wasn't. Just another weird thread.

Thanks OP. That doesn’t address the issue of Harden being the laziest player in the league when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands.

Guys it’s 3 games. Let’s see what this looks like by the all star break before we get excited thinking this is the new norm for WB.

I'm curious the #s when/if Harden sets a high pnr for Westbrook. Basically this play but with Harden picking and popping. I have to believe he wants some "easy" attempts and with his stroke and range he should be able to hit these at a very high %. If they switch, it's 4v4 with a big on Russ and Harden's gravity. In either case Harden can spend the next 10 secs cooking whomever is guarding him.

Yeah, maybe I should have just titled the thread "WB Drive and ISO Watch".

I think they are key indicators for the effect of Rockets Spacing for WB. I'm encouraged merely by the fact his volume is the same on both.

And he was already trending up on drive efficiency numbers with Paul George previously, including the passing aspect of the drives.

I have more confidence in Russ driving than James shooting ill-advised stepback 3s.

don't forget, Harden's driving numbers are better. See the second chart in OP.
    #4 in FG%
    #1 in Assists and AST%

Are teams going to start guarding WB like they guard Ben Simmons to take away his drives

It’s only weird if you don’t know what you’re looking at.

The chart says he leads the league in drives per game.

And the stepback sets up the drive.

Harden will be fine, he’s always efficient - even in the playoffs

He needs to pick it up defensively tho (the whole team does).

Looking at these stats, I imagine Westbrook is smiling ear to ear these days. The stats seem to back up what we're seeing.. he's playing fantastic basketball.

His tenacity and penetration were what I was the most excited about.

    Also, that's what she said.

Then you have people on Harden Island without any help at all.

I too wonder if this is sustainable once teams start to adjust.

Great thread, hp. Thanks for posting this.
