    From a die-hard Yao Fan:

To be fair to SamFisher, he stood up for the team when some doubters predicted that the Rockets will not make the playoffs.

On the other hand, Sam, "sayonara" is Japaness, not Chinese. I don't think many people will understand it here:D

I know, I spent several months in Osaka, Japan when I was a student, though my japanese is pretty rusty by now. I said it on purpose.

Honestly, I love Yao, I love Steve, I like them all. I just want the Rockets to win and hate it when people say bad things about any and all of them, especially if those bad things are unsupported or unsupportable by the facts.

I understand ppl have their favorites and taste, I think we should be more open to different opinions rather than attacking other.

I agree with you. JVG is quick to point out Yao and Steve's flaws but not his own. In coaching you also need to make adjustments in your OFFENSE. Defense wins championships yes but offense keeps your ASS in the game Jeff...when their dlb and triple teaming Yao/MO Taylor bring him out on the pic a roll to shoot 15teen footers sometimes they don't always have to be down on the block. And not just kicking it out in desperation at the 18-20ftline for some terrible jumper either, and expect them to hit it with someone flying at them???all the time either. and then talk about their consistency? Jeff's real quick to talk about Yao's consistency but it seems to me today was evident we can't PASS for sh-t. Do you even practice it? You have two really good post players and you can't even get them the damn ball. Dallas doesn't play hard defense, they just zone. You're supposed to be some kind of Defensive minded guru, I would think you would know how to pass against a zone? :( JEFF, MAYBE at this point he should shoulder some of the blame.

    Nash on Yao:

"He is a great player. He can do so many things on the court and he’s improving every day. It doesn’t look good for the rest of the league. He is becoming a dominant player."

I have to throw the question back at you: What game did u watch, Sam?

A casual observer, like yourself, might think that the Mavs played 1 on 1 in the 2nd half but in reality (get into it, if you could :)) Dallas played a match-up zone almost exclusively in the 2nd half.

They only played man to man for a couple of plays and that was because they got confused after a substitution. Some of them played 1 on 1 and some played zone.

95% of the time, they played a zone starting with Williams, Bradley and then Najera in the post. Walker, Notwitzki at the forward and Nash, Finley up top. Their post man covered Yao by himself some of the time but more often, especially Najera, fronted Yao while the strong side forward sagged back to double or the weak side forward dropped back to play behind Yao.

(BTW, Najera only played ~11 mins in the 2nd half)

    Mavericks Head Coach Don Nelson:
We played mostly zone the second half. Actually, for three quarters.

What game DID you watch, Sam? My Yao blow-up doll would like an apology. Reality, get into it.

The same game I did. The one where Najera was shutting Yao down, just like he has always done.

true but a lot of times there was zone help... not necessarily when najera was on him, but a couple of times even then. najera i thought did as good a job as anyone has... timed the passes perfectly and came around for the steals.

I saw the same game. At one point MJ and JVG got mad at Yao for allowing Najera around him to steal the ball everytime down.

    oh well, atleast we won!

"I think that hand was from a Rocket. Oops, may be not. I dont recall any of our white dudes playing in this game"

Is there a trade done to have D,N,B and N as "our white dudes"?

What are you talking about? I'm not b****ing at all. I'm happy as a clam that we won, and am looking forward to the playoffs. Go Yao, Go Cat, Go Steve, Go JJ, Go Kelvin, Go Rockets!
