    Considering we had an extremely vocal base here that was disgusted with the Westbrook trade, how many of you would still revert back to Paul and picks at this time?

    The picks are going to hurt us for a long time. It’s like getting a nicer car than one can afford on a 7 year loan with a not so good interest rate. Plus, not getting actual cash value for the car you traded in that you also over paid for.

    The car is a better ride, but...

    they couldn’t afford to go into next season with the same squad of Harden, an even worse CP, and the usual role players...it speaks to just how toxic CP’s contract was if it required 4 picks to complete the deal

    Maybe you should revisit the trade again cuz you are getting confused on what we exactly gave up. If somebody says "the picks are gonna cost us" that means he or she didnt really understand the trade.

    Hell no. Westbrook’s first 3 games as a rocket were as good as CP3s best 3 game stretch last season.

    Let’s get this straight the trades at least one first rounder to get OUT of Paul’s horrible contract.

    look at the offers OKC is getting for Paul, they want draft picks FROM OKC to take Paul

    I can't remember who it was but someone tweeted at the time that if you say you want the Rockets to go all in now while the window is open, but are against giving up two picks and two more swaps that probably won't convert, then you're not really all in.

    I give Westbrook all the credit in the world through 3 games. He's done everything we could have wanted him to do. Attack in transition, move without the ball, limit his poor shots.

    Can he keep up this for a full season, that's the question. As the year goes on will he start to slide back into his bad habits, and in future years will his explosion fall off and we're stuck with Chris Paul 2.0.

    No sane person thought the Westbrook trade hurt us in any significant way this season. The question was how much did it help us considering what we risked/gave away.

    Depending on how much Morey values first rounders, maybe.

    I mean I love how Westbrook is playing but I don't think the team has really improved overall
