I don't want the 6th seed. I would love to see our name higher in the standings, but I want the Rockets to face the T-Wolves. Now, if the T-Wolves move up....or down I want us to do the same. I DO NOT want to face the Mavs or Spurs.
As of end of day of Mar 6, the current magic number to clintch 8th spot is: 16 Rockets 35-26, 9th place Utah 31-32. Rockets can clintch 8th spot by wining 16 more games, even if Utah won all remaining games.
And with Denver losing and Memphis winning(yet again, damn it!), it's looking more and more like Houston's gonna be the 7th seed.
This thread is meanlingless. We are in the playoffs for sure unless something disastrous happens (like Milwakee's total collapse in the second half of the season a couple of years ago). With someone like Jeff Van Gundy in charge, I don't see that happening.
I had a drunken delusion that we won the title this year against all odds. Crazy but not impossible. We are technically still a statistic. Could come through.
What I meant to say is that to clintch 8th spot tie is pointless. You still need to win a tie breaker to get in the playoff.
However, if we win 14 and that 14 includes the win against Utah in the final game, then 14 is enough.
Yay, A-Train stupidly bet against the Rockets and will have to leave the BBS come playoff time! woohoo!
