Depends on the type of test, its sensitivity, the amount the user consumed before the test and if they're heavy or light smokers. Lots of factors in this question.
Light smoker, it's taking 10 days to prepare a report (police lab test), can't imagine he consumed even 1. The 30 days one is way way off I think. The lawyer, who deals with this a lot, said it's around 3 or 4 days. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Here's what I did to pass mine about 5 years ago: About two hours before your test mix a gallon of water with a box of Sur-Gel (you can find Sur-Gel near the Jell-O in your local supermarket) and then drink the entire gallon of mix product. You'll be pissing all day long but you should pass the test with flying colors. That same test I took was what made me quit using illegal substance because you never know when you will be tested or for what.
I appreciate but don't need ways to pass the test - the test was done already. But tell me Lil Pun, how long before the test did you consume all this?
as a light smoker (meaning at most a joint every two weeks) 2-3 days is about on. But there are many factors that play into this. THC is stored in fat cells in the body, this means that if the person was hefty it could remain in the system for longer. Also, how much water do they consume on a daily basis? Like with anything, flushing your system always helps and if the person drinks alot of water, they could pass it quicker.
I have it on good authority that for a moderate smoker, it is almost a month. It depends on how much, but according to a lab technician I know, it is normally 30 days.
I have been told 30 days after stopping is the maximum, Not that i know from personal experience, never touched the ****.
Ok, so let me give more details to get a more accurate answer. You JUST start smoking for the first time in you life. You have something like 1 every 2 weeks for a couple of months. Then you go to a party, you smoke some (not even a whole one), and 4 days later you're being tested for it. In these 4 days, water consumption is average I guess - over half a litre a day is reasonable. In 2 of these 4 days, alcohol consumption was relatively high (4 or 5 mixed drinks per night). What's the verdict? Are you busted? Why would the lawyer, who deals with these things, say 3 or 4 days is usually enough?
BTW, the test is to find out if you smoked RECENTLY, not if you smoked EVER. Meaning, this guy was in another country shortly before the party, so if the trace is small, he can say he smoked up in London for example, and they have to let him go.
Shouldn't be too bad if it was a couple days. You don't have to get all the chemicals out of your body, which takes about a month or so. You simply have to flush enough to test "inconclusive."
My friend whos big in biochem says in lab they tested strands of hair and they can tell if you've ever smoked, period. I believe this is how they found out that many of our founding fathers (Ben Franklin) smoked was from their hair samples. Apparently it's pretty easy too. Also, besides the obvious detox that you can get from any smoke shop, there are bottles of cranberry juice you can buy at any store and on the label it will say something like "cleanses urinary tract". Drink the whole bottle within a reasonable amount of time and you will be set. I aways just drink at least a gallon of water a day. Waters good for you anyway.
My buddy who was a drill sgt in the army used to test his privates at 5am Monday morning. They'd wake up the whole barracks and do a piss test. Those who said they couldnt piss were given lots of water and an hour to produce. After that they got the cathater. He said this was to get them within 3 days (assuming a Fri night high)...after that the tests werent as conclusive and not worth Uncle Sam's time or dime. If you are a chronic user its likely that you will get nailed even if you only smoked a week ago. If you dont smoke a lot, prob not. Once when I was in high school I cut class on a Fri, went to Galveston, smoked up for the first time on the beach, drank 12+ Coors Lites all day and night, and returned to my Dad's house at 3pm Sat to get a quick trip to the Doc In The Box for a drug test (they found out I had cut school, and despite the 4.0 gpa decided - correctly I may add - that I may be up to no good). Anyway, I passed. Scared the crap outta me.
