Get real! Yao will keep on improving his game and the next thing will happen as the most dominant center in the league.:)

I beg to differ. He can always develop a nagging injury that takes away some of his athleticism. Lets hope that doesn't happen tho.

Has Yao done anything wrong to make you look down on him?

Some guys just dislike the peole in yellow skin and with black hair in their high-deep soul!

I think that this guy called Sport radio 610 for this tread, and he was kicked out by Mark Jackson. Several people said it was the stuiped call for the year. Are u the same guy?

To be fair to him he is talking about 'Ric Smiths'. May be once upon a time there was a Ric Smiths basketball player who could shoot like Hakeem, rebound like Rodman and pass the ball like Magic...

The main thing that bugs me about this thread is some of the wording... not the idea of the trade.

I mean damn - trade "WHILE his stock his high"??? His value is "at it's HIGHEST"!?!?!?

WTF? Are you implying that it's only down hill from here for Yao? ... At the ripe old age of 23???

Long long ago, there lived a protoplast named 'Ric Smiths'.He had a dinosaur named amed as his pet.He obtained the great basketball skill from hunting. While,he liked to play basketball with his dinosaur friends and always did something like dunking the ball over the tyrannosaurus's head, stealing the ball from the pterosaur flying in the sky etc...........

OK, I support Yao - as evidenced by my above post - but assuming that you're referring to him in this sentence, that's just blatantly, fragrantly, hideously, repulsively wrong.

Don't EVER say Yao can rebound like Rodman again. Not only does he not put up those numbers, but he doesn't have that kind of rebounding skill/aggression. If there was just one thing I could name that Yao doesn't do nearly as well as he should for his size, it's rebound (... and maybe block shots). Jeez... rebound like Rodman??? I'll be surprised if he ever pulls that off.

Also, the passing "like Magic" statement was off it. Don't pull a Bill Walton and let your love for Yao carry you away...

Calm down buddy...if you have read the whole thread, you would know that i am just poking fun at the guy who called the ex-Pacer center "Ric Smiths". (I know he meant Rik Smits) ;)

Yes, RocketGuy3 you misunderstood!RocketForever is on our side.
I have thought the Yao Haters had been extinct on forum!
But they still exist till now, alas.

Yes, I know, I saw that, but when you were mentioning the qualities of the imaginary "Ric Smiths", it sounded like you were saying: "For Yao to be the second coming of this mystery player, the player must have had all these qualities". One of those qualities included Rodman-Rebounding. Is that not what you were saying? If not, than I apologize, otherwise, I'm still in complete shock and confusion.

    And sgm,

I'm not at all a Yao-hater (or Francis-hater... I'm just a Rocket-liker), I just know that he's not as good of a rebounder as he should be. I still acknowledge the fact that he's probably going to undisputably be the best center in the league next year, but calling him a Rodman-like-boarder (if that's what RocketForever was really doing) is way off.

Don't take it too seriously. Like I have said I was poking fun at the guy so I was exaggerating. Does anyone really believe that we would see a baller who could shoot like Hakeem, rebound like Rodman and pass like Magic in our life time?
