First Team: Jameer Nelson, St. Joseph's (Player of the Year) Emeka Okafor, Connecticut Luke Jackson, Oregon Ryan Gomes, Providence Julius Hodges, North Carolina State Second Team: Chris Duhon, Duke Andre Emmett, Texas Tech Devin Harris, Wisconsin Lawrence Roberts, Mississippi State Hakim Warrick, Syracuse Third Team: Josh Childress, Stanford Ike Diogu, Arizona State John Lucas, Oklahoma State Sean May, North Carolina Blake Stepp, Gonzaga LINK
All 3 forwards on the 2nd team are better than Hodge. Devin Harris is nowhere near as good as McCants. Is Blake Stepp better than Felton? Gordon? 3 Houston boys from the same class. 5 Texan ballers representing.
Does anyone believe Duhon would be anything other than honorable metion if he did not play at Duke. 2nd team all-america according to ESPN, what a joke! (here is one tidbit, almost all 1st and 2nd teamers score close to 20PPG or more plus have 8-10 APG/RBPG as relevant to their position. Duhan puts up 10 & 6 on 33% shooting from the college 3 point line. Yeah he gets steals, but he is still only 3rd in the ACC in steals) Also Luke Jackson should not be 1st team all-america. Fine offensive player who has had an excellent career at Oregon, but, there is little doubt there are better all around players in the Pac 10.
