    Isn't he a Boston fan? I thought Boston fans hate New York teams? Shouldn't he be happy the Stros denied the Yankees a WS appearance?

    I don't understand why he insists on naming it after Ewing. The Knicks have been awful post-Ewing for nearly twenty years.

    I don't think it's anti houston.

    I think it is pro-Houston actually.
    He says that now those houstonian teams play better because they got rid of their Ewing.

    When Ewing went out with injury in 99, that Knicks team went to the finals as the 8th seed. One of the most improbable runs since the Rockets run in 95

    He coined the phrase in 1999 when the Knicks went on their run to the Finals when Ewing got hurt. Ewing at that time was still viewed as their best player even though he was well past his prime.
