    Most people get it wrong too. It was said in past tense. Which totally changes the sentiment.

    1976 yanks defeat royals (c. Chambliss) ..........reds won WS
    2003 yanks defeat Red Sox (a. Boone) ......marlins won WS
    2006 Tigers defeat athletics (m.ordonez).......cardinals won WS
    2014 Giants defeat Cardinals (T. Ishikawa). .....GIANTS won WS!
    • 2019 Astros defeat Yanks (J. Altuve)..........___?____ win WS
    Only the Giants went on to win the WS. Here is to the Astros doing the same!

    This will be the sixth playoff HR that I will remember the rest of my life - first two was the Pujols vs. Lidge one, the Burke and Ausmus ones against ATL and now recently Marwin's in 2017 and then tonights.

    What's funny is he says he wants Cole in free agency but then goes onto say **** Gerrit Cole, **** Verlander, they all suck. Now if Cole stays in Houston or signs anywhere but with the Yankees, is he going to keep his word?

    George's game 5 Homer was pretty sweet, as was Berkman's slam in the Braves game.
