imagine if obama had done this. he was accused of being a terrorist for the way he bumped fists with his wife. he was constantly accused of being a secret muslim. if he had done what trump did the republicans would be citing it as irrefutable proof that he was indeed a muslim terrorist who supported ISIS. at the least, he would be blasted as diplomatically weak and someone who bent over for russia and turkey. but trump does it and these same people applaud him for it and say it shows how strong he is.
I wonder if Trump will try to use the US military to create a 20 mile safety zone on our southern border? If Turkey can do it, why can't we do it? We know that Trump believes terrorists and other bad hombres are invading us from the south. Mexicans would be very happy, and It would be great for civilization. Right?

I understand why you may think that, but actually the kurds took territory they were not occupying before. Also many came from outside of Syria to take land. The 120 hours is a chance to let them escape with their lives before a modern military steam rolls them.
