Did the Lakers double-team Yao sometimes?/Some Truth in every Joke/Postgame quote

I have not seen the game yet, that's why I am asking the question.

From the Chronicle article about the game (http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/2432666)

    Shaq's helpers

Lakers coach Phil Jackson knew Shaquille O'Neal would not like his decision, but he didn't see that he had any other choice. In a team meeting Wednesday morning at Toyota Center, Jackson told O'Neal he would be sent help on defense when Yao Ming had the ball.

After Yao's 29-point, 11-rebound outing in the Rockets' last victory over the Lakers, O'Neal was upset after the game with the idea that people would think because of the numbers that Yao had the upper hand on him.

He said he "always" guards Yao one-on-one but that Yao is just one of "four" defenders on O'Neal.

"Obviously, Yao had a great game against him," Jackson said. "What Shaq is saying is true, but he doesn't want to have double-team help. What he's saying is that Yao has (Kelvin) Cato playing against him, he's only playing `X' amount of minutes, a variety of things are happening out on the court. But he doesn't have to be defensive about that. Basketball people know what's going on."

The Lakers' game plan changed going into Wednesday's game. After watching film of their last defeat to the Rockets, Jackson said the team talked a lot about double-teaming Yao.

"You have to. That's part of playing basketball," Jackson said. "We considered that today, much to Shaq's chagrin."

Jackson also said the Lakers have finally started to understand the Rockets this season. He said part of the reason for LA's two losses earlier this season was that the Lakers were still trying to adjust to the Rockets' new coaching staff and new style of basketball.

"This year, they have been playing better defense, they look a little better organized on the floor, and they are playing a different style of ball," Jackson said.

You think there is a tiny bit of truth in this statement, which is obviously a joke?

    Ewing's back

Rockets assistant coach Patrick Ewing returned to the bench after missing the previous two games with the flu.

"It's like they say: Good times don't last," Rockets center Yao Ming joked.

    Funny postgame quote from Francis:

On the defense in the fourth quarter:
"I didn't really pay attention to it. ....

(To be fair, the rest of the quote explains it, but I just had to laugh when I saw the quote...as well as Cuttino saying "Man" again in his postgame quote.)

it definitely happened from time to time...

more often than not, Shaq was on his own, but about 1/3rd of the time, someone else would start to cheat over to show like they were going to double...and then back off...and then a few other times...it would be a outright double.
