Robert Horry wants to come back to Houston. Could this be our small forward?

If Kelvin Cato for Robert Horry can be done on the cap, I would be all for it. Im not a big Robert Horry backer but atleast he is a tall forward that can shoot from the perimeter (something this team needs) and play decent team defense. Kelvin Cato on the other does (well Im not exactly sure) maybe its drop point blank passes under the basket, put forth crappy effort in rebounding, bring a real morose and crappy attitude to the team, etc.

At some point in the next few months, Cato becomes a 75% BYC player. However, problem is, I dont think its till the season starts, anyone have info on this? Also, will Cato's BYC even matter since the Rockets will be under the cap?

    YYYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!

Horry has been a contributor everywhere he has been. Cato is a non-factor here, maybe there and just about certainly everywhere.

A wrinkle: throw in Walt and get the Laker #1 draft pick from LA.

    What a dream.....

If Robert and RT can make amends, I wouldn't mind Horry's return. Of course this depends on our Webber/Keith Van Horn/Shane Battier et al. prospects.

I've always liked Horry despite his being a clone of Will Smith and all...He's a solid forward. How's he been holding up injury-wise the last couple of years?

Can you imagine if the Lakers start Cato as PF instead of Grant?

Then even the Spurs with their twin towers wouldn't be able to compete.

If rudy and calv would take him back, I wouldn't mind, if for no other reason than to add a somewhat productive player with a better contract for Cato.

Horry has a PO. There doesn't need to be a trade, dreamlike trades that get rid of Cato notwithstanding.

i like how robert horry sucks in the regular season and then in the playoffs he's hitting clutch 3 pters like he was larry bird and makes big defensive plays like wilt chamberlin.

that's why that old championship team was special. rocket's magic!

If Cato's playing opposite a guy like Shaq, though, his numbers are bound to improve simply because teams won't be paying him any attention. He'd be great on defense playing back there with Shaq (especially in a zone!) ... he'd definitely be an improvement for the Lakers.

I don't mind one bit acquiring Horry, but as I said before, I don't want to help the Lakers. It'd be in the league's best interest if we kept Cato over trading him to LA.

Horry's also quite a defender, besides his shotblocking.... and he has the added ability to guard both SF's and PF's.

I wonder if he can still play SF, after his time in LA though. He might have slowed down a bit by now. He was never lighting quick for a SF to begin with.

I think if Taylor is back next season, Horry would be a good compliment to the lineup, providing a little bit of what Mo doesn't. Horry's not gonna make the earth move, but he's always done the little things that a team needs to get over the hump. I'd welcome him back, to help provide a defensive presence.

ahh..Mr.Pimp slink himself....lazy,lazy,lazy.I always seemed to end up bashing the hell out of Horry during the regular season, but as stated previously, come playoff time,he plays. For most of his Laker career,I don't think he has been utilized correctly.I know they have more go to guys, but for instance against the Jazz a few years back,Robert was getting off as usual in the playoffs against Utah.Did they look for him?..no
It seemed like when they bulked him up,he lost his J,but now,he's slimmed back down to his natural body type and has his shot back.
Bottom line...Can he help this team get to where we need to be?..Yes.He adds many ingredients to the mix..the weakside D,he's long, which helps on D and on those entrance passes,(hopefully it will be Dream getting them if he comes here),and he can bust from outside.Ole Bob has always seemed to have a problem with body control..plays a little stiff......I can't believe I'm saying this, but bring him back.Gosh,I had sworn him off.....Lets get that magic back at the 3.

Right. Cato would foul out trying to guard Duncan in less than 20 minutes. He can't even guard slower-footed centers without getting into foul trouble.

If LA would allow Horry to leave and he would like to come back to Houston, I'd say YEA! What's done is in the past, I think Cavin would have to live with Horry being the father of his grandchild, and RT used to like playing Horry too. In Horry, we get effort, defence, shotblocking and another 3 point option. He can slash to the hoop too, and he's not a wimp-ass who can actually create his own shot.

    Houston's 01-02 team:

    Francis/Mooch
    Cat/Langhi/Wiz
    Horry/Battier
Mo/Collier (I'm not realistic about CWebb)
    Dream/????

Feel free to edit that team..

I don't care WHO we have to take (within reason [IMG]) if it means we get rid of Cato.

By all means, bring Robert here. He's nothing special, but especially with our needs at the 3 spot (assuming we don't draft one...who knows?) I wouldn't mind bringing him in from time to time.
