A typical post on the Thunder board in years prior.

We saw the good and bad of Russ tonight. I didn't see any chemistry between Harden and Westbrook yet but having him in there when Harden is sitting helps us immensely. Like the change of pace Russ brings but he is who he is. He shoots terribly, turns the ball over, and sometimes doesn't play defense. On the plus side if anyone is hitting threes with Westbrook out there, it makes it very easy to score, he sometimes plays pretty good defense, and he really pushes the pace (maybe too much).

I'm more concerned that players can apparently just dribble into the middle at will and no one will even attempt to stop them until they're right under the basket and it's too late.

Harteinstein's hands remind me of Asik, though his defensive basketball IQ isn't nearly as high.

I wish we won the game, but even though Russ was russty I can see that our team is deep and dynamic.

Clemons had his worst game as a Rocket IMO, especially in the 4th.

But Ryno looked a bit more like himself, Harden and Gordon looked good, and I think our team is in pretty good shape

    Clint

    Rivers
    MacLemore

    Sefolosha

40% from the field. 1-6 from 3. Lead team in turnovers with 5. Only starter with a negative +/-

Gonna be an interesting 4 years of this, to say it nicely.

meh...1st game after an offseason recovering from surgery

shooting percentages will never be great, but we already knew that from the jump

I’d take 4 years of Russ over 3 more of aging, injury prone CP which is why I wasn’t that mad about his addition and ultimately accepted it

Just watching highlights, but I have never seen Westbrook slower. Ever. He barely got to the rim in half court. Every time he tried a high-quality pass into the interior he failed.

    This fit sucks too.

Agreed. I know he had surgery, but man...he did not look explosive, or at least not nearly as explosive as we’re used to seeing him.

If he can’t shoot better, it’s going to be a long 4 years of that contract with no assets.

I know it's only a preseason game, but we're seeing the same problems as last season. We got outrebounded pretty badly. We allowed way too many easy points in the paint.

Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come. It does look like Harden will carry the load once again this season.

The Rockets rotation handily outplayed the Raptors who for their 9-15 spots on the bench have decided to just play all 6'8 guys.

That being said, Blossomgame is painfully, clearly not an NBA rotation player. Gary Clark didn't look much better.

Exhibition games look like NBA all-star games with the amount of defense being player so don't read anything into that.

It'll be interesting once the games count to see if some of these rotation pieces are capable at all of staying in front of their men. Sefolosha and McLemore need to do better to justify their minutes, but Harden and Westbrook are the true most important pieces to deciding what kind of defensive team we will be this year.

Hope to see some more House later on. He should be better than all these other wings we're trotting out right now.

Watch the game and stop having opinions off highlights.
I thought the first half was better than the second
