That's a good question, and I'll answer it by clarifying my initial post.

My post described the Bush administration's reaction to and stance with respect to the Chavez administration rather than that of the US media's.

I have no doubt that the worldwide media are justified to a large extent in criticising Chavez. And I do not doubt that the average Venezuelan might stand to benefit from an orderly change in leadership, just as I have no doubt that the average Haitian might stand similarly to benefit.

But my point is that Bush and his junta are concerned first and foremost with the threat Chavez represents to the petro-dollar standard, and that any other consideration is irrelevant to Bush.

Rimbeaux -- Sorry, to throw that extra "with" into the mix.

Thank you for proof reading my post. I wish I had a secretary as good as you at work. What is your current employment status, just out of curiosity? Might there be interest?

    Harhey,

No problem. I am just trying to help you dominate the simpletons. You have repeatedly made that mistake so I thought, before someone can use it against you, I would help out.

As far as employment, I am ideally suited for you (especially with that last post), although unavailable. My time spent grading freshmen level tests and papers would be easily transferable to reading your stuff. Unfortunately, though, I simply am not available with grad school/teaching and a full time museum job. Ask me again in about 20 years when I finally get my PhD.
