Well I guess that is a little promising. But **** Tilman anyways. This dude has serious impulse control issues and is a scumbag in general.

This will not go away in China, if it is not handled properly. You need react fast, before fans in China, or even more importantly, media in China start link Morey’s view to Rockets organization or the whole league, which will be a much larger damage. Tillman did the right thing on this particular matter

Is Tilman going to pay into the luxury tax because of his added revenue from China? If not why the **** should you care about Tilman's profit margins?

Media in China?.... ohh you mean the CCP. There is no media in China that isn’t reviewed and approved by the CCP.

No, that’s really not the right way to handle the situation. You call your GM and ask him to take it down. Then you can use your PR department to handle the remaining fire.

A business person shouldn’t throw their FO folks under the bus like how Tilman did. Saying that he did the right thing is ridiculous in this case. There were a number of other ways to handle this situation swiftly while minimizing the collateral damage.

If the people of China as a whole cant distinguish between one mans opinion and using his job to platform that opinion then there are some seriously dense folks in China.

There would be zero damage in American eyes. If the peolle of China want to feing anger then do it over something of serious consequence like human rights in China.

Here's how Investopedia defines the greater fool theory:

    Fool: Le$
    Greater Fool: Tilman

There is definitely anger in China, because of the Cheerleader role (at least) that US has been playing behind riots in Hong Kong, and biased reports from western media. Linking your sports/businesses organization to this is the last thing the owner would like to do on a trip to promote international influence.

I guess advocating for something that is right is frowned upon these days...

    “Biased reports from western media”?

LOL the entire media in China has to be approved by the CCP and any criticism of the party by the media isn’t tolerated.

The “biased media” is in China as its only purpose is to further the plans of the CCP.

Tilman is so transparently nothing more than your greedy money above all else billionaire. Ethics or decency have no place in his world.

The Rockets are my first sports love so I'm in far too deep to leave, but this POS is trending them in the wrong direction on and off the court. The god class powers of Harden are almost singlehandedly keeping the franchise afloat.

    Exactly!
People in China used to believe only Chinese media is controlled by government (at least they don’t hide it), and western media is free and unbiased. After seeing recent reports on Hongkong, people start realizing that it is either some conspiracy (small group controls western media and brainwash people, blah, blah) or the deep hatred from general public in west (hopefully not). Either way, it is stupid for Morey to direct this to his team/organization/business.

Tilman is doing what he was to do

Now, let's not think that Les wouldn't do the same thing or even more because he does have business ties to China, because that's what he used the Rockets for anyway, to get Chinese money

Just LOL. Because all foreign media are reporting the crimes commited by your country then you " start realising" that they must be controlled too?

please, if Les was still owner, he would get on his knees and kiss President Xi's feet and beg for mercy

    @CometsWin

Les had big business ties to China, Tilman sells expensive food to tourists

From the words ‘crime committed by the country’ that you have used, I started feeling bias and hatred. Instead of comparing casualty number between Hongkong riots (zero) against gun violent and other deep issues that another great country ‘may’ have, I will stop here and wish you a nice day.

    No let us compare.
Let us compare america's gun violence, with the violence commited by China against women, minorities and Hong Kongers.
    Do you dare?

    No I don't think so.
In your brainwashed little mind, all these are "myths" by the biased foreign media.

Good luck abducting a woman to find a wife now! Maybe grab a cheap north korean.

there are a lot of Chinese expats buying homes in America. The reason?
All of them tell me you can't own anything in China, but you can in America . Obviously these are the rich Chinese, but you give them a taste of America, they won't go back.
