This is my analysis of this season so far.....

I believe so far this year, in the past few weeks, we have sold out 11 or 12 games in a row at the Toyota Center, which is complete progress. I was at the game today, sitting about 4 rows back from the Rockets Bench, and it really got to me hearing the fans shout negative things at the bench and players. Yes I know, this is a normality for many fair-weather fans, but the fact of the matter is the returns this team is giving us seem to diminish once they peak off. Its like we get so high, and then suddenly drop right back down to a negative peak. I wish this team would play some team ball, I wish they would be more consistent. They have so much potential, but as many of you know the diminishing returns show on the play of Steve Francis. Turly, in time, this team will be Yao's team, and I think that Francis's play is suffering due to the impending thought of that end coming. I believe it will be quite a long time till we get some positive returns from this team, maybe after a few more of the bad contracts expire, but who knows, it really sucks waiting!

Remember, ten years this summer, will be the anniversary of the sweetest time in Houston Sports history.....Long Live the DREAM!!

What's happened to the dynamic Steve Francis we always rememberd?

Regarding his spiraling shooting %, could it be (heaven forbids) the migraine??

    "quite a long time"?

Compared with glorious history & after waitng more than 4 years, how long do you think Rox fans especially fans on this BBS would still have patience to endure...?

I think this is exactly why Steve is playing so poorly. He's really upset that it's not his team anymore and when he has to run plays for Yao he doesn't put his whole heart and effort into it. This is where we get lazy passes and impatience in setting up the offense. Its exactly like a downward spiral, because the worse he plays the more likely it is he'll be traded in the offseason...there's no way this isn't on his mind.
I've heard many coaches say that the talent at the NBA level is so close and its the mental aspect of the game that really decides the player and how good they'll be...Steve is a great example of that now. If he can get his head straight, good things could happen. But I don't see SF ever getting over his diminished role on the team.

Personally, I was shouting things like:

Stop dribbling and PASS the ball, Cat!
Come on, Steve, drop it down low!
Shoot the ball, don't be afraid to miss!
    Defense, not ole!

I don't think Yao can lead a team. WE need a strong leader like KOBE, KOBE.

Why not trade STeve and Cat for KOBE next season.

Because Phil Jackson doesn't want Cat and Steve.

It would suck, because it would mean that we fired JVG to get PJ and then he didn't even stick around for more than a year.

You mean "What if Phil leaves LA next season" don't you?

If he did, that would be a perfect opportunity for RudyT. Experienced Superstar Vets that he'd have to mold into a championship team...thats right up Rudy's alley.
