Could the annual game against the Sharks be the most accurate predictor of success???

    The game each year against the Sharks seems to foreshadow what's to come during the season:

    2019: 140-71 69 pt win ??? seed (?? wins)
    2018: 128-86 41 pt win 4th seed (53 wins)
    2017: 144-82 62 pt win 1st seed (65 wins)
    2016: 131-94 37 pt win 3rd seed (55 wins)


    2016 and 2018 were very similar in terms of points scored against the Sharks, points given up against the Sharks, Western Conference seeding and win totals. 2017 was way more dominant than the other games against the Sharks, and the regular season also turned out to be very dominant with a 1 seed and 65 wins.

    Does 2019 continue the trend? This team reminds me of 2017, and they just had a similar dominating win against the Sharks.

    This could be the metric by which we measure every Rockets season. It seems the prophecy has been foretold.

    I used to think the Clippers would get the 1 seed, but now I’m not so sure. Paul George is going to miss the first month of the season and is coming back from double shoulder surgery. I can’t imagine he’d come back from that and play like his normal self.

    Kawhi is supposed to get a lot of rest throughout the season.

    Even if they are the best team going into the playoffs, I’m not as high on them finishing first as I was.

    Ill say this, Ive never seen this rockets team hungrier in a pre season game than I did today. They were defending hard and playing hard and that was the achilles heal for this team last year which got us too that bad start. I think this team will be much closer to the 2017 team than 2018s

    When Trump retweeted the Shark Bot, that foreshadowed that the Rockets would crush the Sharks.
