need them to lose 2 or is win 2. Probably happens but never say never. Don’t want to be giving games away. For us to lose ALCS home field we would have to be swept and yanks win out. Pretty low odds there.

Hinch was like "Nah, we can wait to clinch". For a smart dude who has been immensely successful as manager of the Astros, he can make some very odd choices.
I don't understand his logic at all. The Astros won damn near 75 percent of their games this season (60-21) . This means on average they win 3 out of every 4 games played at home during the regular season. You'd think they would value Home Field Advantage throughout the playoffs so they could host 4 games (if necessary) in both the ALCS and World Series. I understand Home Field Advantage doesn't mean as much as it does in other sports but when your team is almost unbeatable at home you have to put your studs out there to lock that up. They will have almost a week to rest/reset between the last game of the regular season (this Sunday) and Game 1 of the ALCS (next Friday).
Using your logic, they win well over 50% of their road games. Therefore, they will win at least two of their games against the Angels.
I like the strategy of resting the starters a few games before the end of the season so they can get in there last couple of games and not be sitting out for like 6 consecutive days. I think there hope is probably that it will give the players rest and minimize rust
The Astros regulars were pretty gassed and the travel was terrible. I cannot criticize him too much for the line up he put out there.
