Think about this If anyone of us owned the Rockets Especially the 99ers @Rocket River @Os Trigonum We’d go on this show and tell them they’d better recognize Tell the ignorant people That the South got something to say
We can talk about how "broke", corrupt, annoying, and media hungry Tilman is, but you can't say he doesn't rep Houston. Come on now. It is his team, like it or not. I mean, Le$ was WAY less Houston than Tilman.
Tilman LOVES Houston. His issue is that he REALLY wants Houston to love him back. He wants to be viewed as a great civic patron and pillar of the community.
Alright, he's done some good. And like most rich, really ambitious guys, or maybe just guys in general, he's done some things I don't care for. Overall, though, I actually kind of like the guy -- he likes sports, food, and probably a lot of the same things I do -- I just wish he would dial down the constant self-promotion. And realize that, yes, the Rockets really are this close to winning a chip, if he does his part.
He already is. He's done massive things for this city and it's citizens. Things that multiply over time. The hate is unwarranted.
Because he wants people everywhere to know his face and his name. Why he wants that, is another question. I would think he'd have too many skeletons in his closest for a new career in public service, but I would've thought that about Trump too. I just want him to shut up and give Morey absolutely anything he asks for, and not try to cloud the issue with flashy gestures like buying the airliner equivalent of a 15-year-old beat-up Bentley. Signing Shumpert to a large salary as a trade piece would have been a non-flashy gesture, that might have enabled Morey to bring back a better player. At least he extended Gordon, and put that issue to bed for the moment.
Idgaf what anybody says, I like Tilman...I like his energy people have been hating on him before he had even bought the team...now we got all this crying and complaining every time he does something the “Tilman is broke” jokes been old and not even funny for months now
Is it a joke or do people actually think he’s broke? I don’t know if some know that just state this stuff but I would assume they do since they love the rockets and basketball enough to write on this very board. But nba owners and the league have to approve a new owner and his financial situation. If he was broke no way he gets unanimously approved like he did. The owners around the league want the owners to make a lot of money because it also makes them money. Tilman is good for the nba and the rockets and he’s far from broke. And if anyone truly thinks he’s broke I’d want to hear their financial situation lol. I don’t understand the hate this guy is native houston who made billions self made and bought his own city’s team. That’s bad ass i don’t see how that wouldn’t be anyone who loves this team and was born and raised here not want the same thing. It be really cool. On a side note I gladly take any of Tilmans billion dollar financial issues lol. Seems to be doing fine to me. Restaurants, casinos nba team tv shows books. Sounds nice to me.
cuz he's BROKE AF Need money from the book to prepare for the upcoming recession- Signed layoff(redudant as they say in England) Cheerleaders
Look it up. He has a CASH FLOW problem. For a billionaire, which he is, he's considered BROKE AF because he has to borrow or liquidate his assets to pay his players. CASH FLOW RULE EVERYTHING AROUND ME. CREAM IT Y"ALL Tilman ain't got no CASH FLOW. Why you think he had to borrow with Junk Bond status? Why do you think he ask players to take salary on KMART layaway plan???
