Great news. Get these Bush era War Hawks out of government. Trump ironically is the least war-prone head we've had in a while. As an America first he believes in strong defense but not using our military to waste our treasure abroad. Never liked Bolton and glad he's gone.

When Trump won in '16 my number one fear was that Trump would start a war to solidify his chances of re-election, since wartime presidents always get a bump in approval and voters are less likely to switch presidents during a war. I suspect that the lesson Trump took from the Iraq war is to avoid these messes in general. If that's true, and if he ousted Bolton because he doesn't want to get stuck in a war, I'm very happy with that. I don't think that Trump has any moral qualms with war whatsoever, but if he believes that an expensive war would tarnish his 'legacy', then that's great.
While these two chuckles the clowns ponder the question about trump's national security team being a hot mess...
I wonder if Bolton wasn't a useful 'Bad Cop' for foreign policy, always growling, slobbering and threatening representing the possibility of attack? A junkyard dog on a chain just too short to actually hurt someone.
