I actually agree with you, Z. : ) But, he would serve our purpose.

I watch games, don't you read what I am typing. I ain't looking at data. I watch performances. Francisco Garcia was really bad during preseason and shouldn't have been on the team.

The dude was our KD defense. Don't underestimate the effect of that on decision making.

Also, Robert Covington has been an okay player on losing teams while scoring 13 a game. I know his three point percentage is good. I know he's a decent defender, but I also know he wasn't going to play for a million a year for the rest of his life. He's not a needle mover, so no need to pay him. He's seriously overpaid right now. You don't hand him the ball and ask him to go win a game for you. He's a 3 and D guy.

He was pipe dreams anyway. I don't know why you're obsessing over a guy we were going to release regardless of Garcia.

I think Chris Clemons will be traded for a veteran before the season starts. Classic Morey.

Chris Clemons was a non-draft pick signed as a free agent this offseason. The earliest he can possibly be traded is December 15.

    FYI:

I wouldn't read too much into these moves. They were done solely to add Exhibit 9s to their contracts and help minimize the risk that the Rockets would incur a cap hit if any of these guys got injured during training camp.

I am hoping a full year of House makes coveting of Covington go away.

I hope Rockets never stop coveting adding more long athletic elite 3-D players.

You are right, but the real hope is we stop coveting and start obtaining. House has the potential to be part of our solution, IMO. (I hope he lives up to his potential).

Shows you that elite swing men are not necessarily a dime in a dozen.
