    After having been on this board for a while, I 've notice a disturbing trends after each and every Rocket's game that gets really annoying. Why is it that after every loss of a Rockets game there are so many bashing threads on how the team should break up or some of the player should be traded? It's sad really, that it takes the Rockets to have one bad games and everybody jumps on the bandwagon and critized every possible aspect of the Rockets game, but when they win you don't see any bashing threads or post but only praise worthy of the Rockets especially after beating good teams(Lakers,Timberwolves,Indiana). Really, I think its a waste of your time and space on this board to post un-constructive repeated criticism after every game the Rockets lose....its the same thing over and over again and its not healthy for this board. I mean, these are the same people who post good things about the Rockets when they were winning, just make up your mind on what you really want to say. Everyone have the right to voice their opinon but do so under the content of the game being played NOW, and not worry about the end of the season,trade talks, or next year. We are really getting ahead of ourselves here and worry too much on the future of the Rockets franchise rather than focusing on and discuss the next game and see how we could imporve and try to win that game...ain't thats the most important thing for us? If you really have the itch to bash a certain player or have a trade talk, please do so by posting under that thread and not making up new ones....its not hard to find those old threads since they are scattered all over the place. In my opinion I think the Rockets are doing just fine and they were just 10 game above .500 before losing to the Sonics and I thinks thats pretty good coming from a person that don't have high expectation of them to began with, and to some people they forgot all about that after the loss. Just like all of you, I do get pissed off in frustration on some of the players but I can't do nothing about that and coming in here talking smack s**t about them is not gonna do any good. I will wait until the off-season to re-evaluate each player critize them all I want , but right now I want them to win enough to get in the playoff and that will start on Wednesday.

    Lost a game in NBA is normal. The way rockets lost is what the fans are concerning.

    noize;

    I like your attitude and 'the enjoy things for now and not worry about the future' is a good attitude to have. I think part of the difference is that you never had high expectations for this team while a lot of us did. We've had 2 All Star starters who have been talked about by even many basketball pundits as having the talent to dominate and even change the game at their positions. Yet we continually see this team fail to play consistently when it counts. On top of that we are fans who are hungry for the playoffs. Maybe we were spoiled by the Hakeem years but four years is a long time to watch your team come up short.

    Also this being a fan site for basketball debate its natural that trade and criticism of the team should be occuring when they lose and praise when they win. Just take a look at any fan forum for any pro team and I'm sure you'll see the same.

    The reason people rarely post bashing threads after a win is, you invariably get 10-15 people saying "THEY WON, can't you stop bashing until they lose again!" I'll admit it when Francis has a good game, but that doesn't keep me from wanting him traded. I recognize when Yao and Cat have off shooting nights, but that doesn't stop me from wanting them to shoot more. IOW, it is not that our opinions are as mercurial as you believe, it is just that we recognize when the board is (reasonably) open to them, and when posting them will bring on nothing but flames, or at least that is why I try to post negative/trade stuff mostly after losses.

    Maybe because they've only won 3 or 4 "big" games this season. That's not enough to get excited about this team's prospects. Add the fact that they have one of the worst records against the western conference and that relegates them to Eastern conference team status. Not too much to get excited about eh?

    Most Rockets fans don't know what they can believe in anymore. It probably isn't such a big issue, it is in fact, a good way for one to explore his or her emotional capacities.

    If you kept on expecting the unexpected, do the wise thing: stay away from the board after a loss, you will find yourself always feeling healthy as a poster/reader of this board.

    However, if you prefer the emotional ride - make sure you come into the chat each game, where fans' opinions of the team can change in the matter of minutes, where emotions run high and many schools of bashers run amok...

    The NBA is such a fast paced feeling ups and downs game and that attitude is reflected by the fans. Sometimes I wonder if I'm a manic depressive because of these guys.
