That's his hometown team so it's definitely going to be mentioned. So, the Angels would by far have the largest position player contract with Trout and largest pitcher contract with Cole. Doesn't seem like great budgeting for a team that has struggled to find fill-in help around their stars.

If the Angels drop $40 per on Cole they’re looking at over $100 million on 3 players, one of which is old man Pujols. Crazy money.
