Duncan injury could really effect Rox playoff standings.

Spurs playing the Nuggets tonight without Duncan who is expected out for the weekend then play the Grizzlies on Monday where it could very well be questionable whether he'll play then. Even if he does play, Pop might make him play limited minutes just to ensure his injury is fully healed. I don't know the Nuggs and Grizz record against the Spurs this season but a healthy Duncan putting up MVP like numbers who we've had to face 4 times this season while our two playoff seeding rivals don't could really hinder how much ground the Rockets could separate themselves from their divisional opponents.

Look at the bright side if Tim stays hurt maybe we'll face the Spurs in the first round without a 100% Duncan.

Good point :D As it stands now though we'd have to be a #6 seed to do that though.

Speaking of games that affect the Rockets, the Lakers are in a battle with the wizards. It's close and late in the game.

The Wizards are they own worst enemy in this one...

Geez...never mind. In the last 2.5 min the Lakers have gone on a HUGE run.

It's nearly a 20pt game, from being a 2pt game when I last posted. Ugh.

They continue to shoot themselves in the foot.

Seriously, who in the NBA gets called for 8secs when they weren't even pressured?! Just terrible.....

There is still a slight chance that gangrene could set in underneath the brace, right? :)

I actually think this would be a good thread to move to the GARM.

Back on topic. Fortunately the Spurs took care of business against the Nuggets, who are on a slide as of late, having lost 5 in a row now, so we are starting to see some separation between us and the last playoff spot. They play the same number of games as the Rockets this week, but our schedule is far more difficult with games against LA, Minnesota and Dallas with days off in between each game.

Duncan will be out for games against Memphis, Seattle, Dallas and Phoenix. I could see the Spurs still winning 2-3 of those games. Their game versus Memphis could make or break the Rockets chance gaining control of the 6th seed.

Memphis has an easy schedule this week. They face a Duncanless San Antonio team, then have games against a Portland team struggling to slide into the 8th seed and the other team from LA.

Hopefully the Rockets aren't looking as forward as I am because tonights game could be key in keeping some distance over the Nugs and staying in the hunt for the 6th seed.

I don't want the rox to get the 6th seed. I hope they keep winning, but Memphis keeps winning as well. Winning the 6th seed gets you a date with either the mavs or spurs and both those teams own the rockets. The 7th seed would allow them to play minny which I think is better. I'm hoping that dallas gets the 3rd seed and spurs the 4th seed so it ends up as spurs/lakers round one, with the spurs taking out the lakers in the 1st round!:D

I think the Rockets goal is the fourth seed, and that is well within their reach at the momment.

    rockets/lakers

The Rox aren't playing very good ball this week.

Even without Duncan the Spurs still have a decent team. (I know, I know, but its true.) Nobody's been activated from the Injured list so I don't even expect to see Duncan out for very long.
