All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted.

    9-2 Gerrit Cole (R) vs. Adrian Houser (R) 3:10 ESPN (out-of-market only)

    9-3 Zack Greinke (R) vs. Jordan Lyles (R) 6:40

Tucker with the club today? Was hoping he would start since this a game I’ll actually get to watch on TV.

MLB hasn't done anything to the baseballs, nothing. Everything is the same as ever.

Its even more damning when they now own the freaking company that makes the baseball.

Yup. Still remember how Zambrano manhandled us on "our" field. I still think to this day that the Brewers should have went back to the AL and kept us in the NL.

No Tucker in the starting lineup... I forgot that the Brewers are in the NL. Yordan is getting a start in left, with Brantley in right.

Cole better have the K-game going. Or those 2 better create multiple runs.

That's certainly a hitting lineup out there to compensate for the 8 and 9 spots in the order. And hopefully Brantley and Yordan will be seeking some redemption from yesterday's performance.

It certainly seemed silly to me at the time the team was sold that the Brewers should get to stay in the NL when they're the ones that screwed up the balance between the divisions by coming to AL not too long prior. Commissioner's privilege, I guess. However, I'm so converted to the AL now that I think it's the one the best things to ever happen to the Astros and my enjoyment of watching them. Only thing I don't like is all the late West Coast road games.

Hinch will not be able to resist getting Jake in CF by the 4th inning.

Theoretically this could be a function of player types/swing styles that are being employed.

Would be interesting to look at launch angle/exit velocity data as well. I'm sure people have.

It's both that and the balls. Look at what happened in AAA this year when they switched to the MLB balls.

They should bench Toro for the remainder of his career, because right now, he would be eligible to play on the field of dreams. Where the F' is Toro!
