I'm fairly simple, love street food. I will try something once, but won't have it again if i absolutely hate it.

When I'm in Thailand, I love Moo Ping (Grilled Pork):

One thing which i will absolutely not try is bugs. No way in hell.

I have tried a Horseshoe Crab Egg Salad in Thailand. Had a bitter taste to it. Did not enjoy it, and won't try again

My eleven year old son (and I) tried grasshoppers, crickets and these HUGE ants in Mexico this summer (Puebla and Mexico City). We also had black pudding wrapped scotch eggs and haggis balls in Scotland. That is NOT a comprehensive list of the somewhat strange things we’ve had this year. He’s coming along nicely......certainly my greatest accomplishment (have to give most of the credit to my wife and also good fortune though). Nonetheless, Street food is kind of our thing.

My favorite experience was in Ayuttaya Thailand at a night market. So good and so cheap. The best was krapao moo sap, which is minced pork with chili and basil. Anything on a stick was a good bet too. I mostly didn't bother asking what anything was, unless it was really good, and I went back for more.

I eat street food everywhere I go. Thailand, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Paris, Mexico City, everywhere. It's all good. Thailand and Singapore are my favorite place to have street food.

Will there ever be another street food that impacts the American consumer palate and restaurant industry like the taco has?

    Food Trucks worth trying:

Oh My Gogi: Their OMG fries are awesome.
Cousin's Maine Lobster: Connecticut style Lobster Roll. Don't bother with the lobster sides. They're all meh.
    Foreign Policy: Burgers are legit.
Hula Dog: Can't get to Hawaii for a Puka Dog? We got ya covered.
    Coreanos: Kim cheese fries.
El Taconazo: Tacos. Quesadillas work, too.
Mr Sizzles: Stupid name. Good burger.

Only been sick once. Just don't eat things that aren't cooked like vegetables. Street vendors don't have running water to wash them.
