I like to think, I'm an aficionado of Zombie related books and movies/TV shows. Last weekend, I came across Train to Busan (2016) on Netflix and absolutely loved it! Having watched so many zombie-related movies, they tend to lack creativity and a unique perspective after a while (think The Walking Dead), but Train to Busan was refreshing to watch. The entire setting is on a train traveling in South Korea. I read somewhere that this is South Korea's first zombie movie, not sure how true that is... The subtitle is easy to follow along as well.

If you've seen it, what are your thoughts? If you plan on watching it after reading this post, let us know what you think.

If you're into zombies/post-apocalyptic stuff, I recommend the AFTER, series of books by Scott Nicholson.

I've had this on my watch list waiting for a night when I'm up for captions.

There is going to be a sequel to be released in 2020. I don't think this movie needs a sequel, but hey, as long as they make money, there will always be one more Final Destination movie.

I still need to see this. Walkin dead kinda ruin the zombie genre for me.

It was a fun watch. It was a little lighter than most Western zombie horror flicks, so a nice change of pace.

If you liked Train to Busan, watch The Kingdom on Netflix, too. It's a Korean zombie TV series.

good stuff. class-conscious horror that doesn't take itself too seriously.

New TV Show and it's got great ratings. I'll definitely check it out. Is South Korea having a Zombie fever or what!

My personal favorite bit of text from the trailer in the OP:

    "Life or Death Survival!"

It was a fun movie, and a bit of a fresh take on the zombie genre. The main character wasn't particularly likable though, which made it hard to connect to anyone in the film. I'd definitely go for a sequel though.

This guy is a more dramatic South Korean version of teh Keanu.

I enjoyed it. It was engaging and focused more on human behaviors. I don’t recall much of any gore.

Very good movie. Usually not a zombie fan.

    Oh yeah!

What was the other Korean "monster movie" that was tauted to be excellent..."The Host" or something like that? I couldn't finish it.

I loved this film! I came back for seconds after six months or so...and it did not disappoint the second time. It gives me a good zombie fix to hold me over for a while.
