Not to be cliche but it has to be mario elie 3. That was the closest ive ever experienced to the only thing I can describe it as a sports orgasm. Nothing like it ..the 3-1..the suns.. came back .. not sure how it can ever happen again. The clips comeback was fun but this elie 3 was that one time moment ..one moment in time
Rockets fan since I was 6 (I'm 32 now) and that was my first game in Houston I've ever been to. That was unreal.
The Kenny Smith 3 to tie the game in the Orlando Series. The tandem of Rudy T and Cd do not get enough credit for their X's and O's. Yes there was a little luck on our side with Nick Anderson choking but that play proved Rudy T knew how to adjust and manage ego's. After a time out I knew we had a plan and so did everyone else. Now we just dump the ball to harden and stand back and pray.
(But it would have been this if it were done to the Worriers in a playoff game instead of a regular season game): https://www.thegrip.co/post/a-beard-grows-in-oakland (can’t rip the gif for some reason)
The problem is, is that most people here aren't old enough to remember Ralph's famous shot. That shot stunned the sports world and will always be one of the greatest shots in NBA history! You have to remember who we were playing. We were playing the showtime Lakers. Magic, Kareem, Worthy, the whole bunch. They were defending champions. We were on their home court. Dream had been thrown out of the game for being involved in a brawl. Every Rockets fan should be required to watch that game. That was probably the greatest Rockets game of all time even before Ralph made his shot. Ralph showed incredible heart and strength in that game. So sad that this would be the high point for this collection of Rocket players. What could have been if not for the Drugs and injuries.
This is absolutely one of my most favorite moments against one of our biggest rivals in the playoffs. We may have lost this series in the end, but man that shot was one of the best ever in my book.
I remember it as if it was yesterday. My friend, who is a huge Laker fan, sat in utter stunned silence for quite a while, then refused to talk to me for quite a while after that.
