I posted this in the other thread but as someone who personally knows Aaron I'm happy to see him away from the Bluejays. Glad he with us but I would of been happy to see him with any team that has the personal to work with him like we do. I don't see the problems he had in Toronto happening here. Better environment and better city.

Don't know who they are, but in addition to Greinke trade I'm happy to see what Astros can do with these new arms

I still can't believe this happened. What a heist.

Strom is going to get Sanchez back to where he was as a mid-rotation starter. Could be someone we look to sign long term. As for Biagini, he's primed to make an impact as a middle reliever going forward. They needed bullpen depth for '20 and beyond as well. Both of these guys have elite spin rates on their breakers and low usage from those pitches, seems like an easy enough fix. We'll see what happens.

Luhnow was on 610 and he spoke glowingly of Sanchez. I'm really excited.

    Two thoughts...

Biagini. How can there not be comparisons to Ryan Reynolds or Will Ferrell. The guy is not only hilarious, he's like, always on, like Reynolds, Ferrell. The players, Julia Morales are going to have a blast with him in the dugout. This will help me forget losing Brett Phillips' laugh.

Sanchez. If the Astros bring him back to his 2016 self, and do for him what they did for Miley, Pressly and Morton, then how don't see how any free agent pitcher with untapped potential isn't going to want to sign with Houston. Too bad he's already a free agent after 2020. Miley, Morton contracts were too short as well. Now, if only the FO can figure out how to develop starting pitchers via the farm.

I like how he says these guys are humans and not assets and then towards the end says how it's great to have an asset in the outfield for the next seven years.

I live in Canada and we have a tv network called Sportsnet. When they were discussing Stroman vs Sanchez trade, some guy predicted that Sanchez will make the Jays fans cry. He fully expects Sanchez to turn things around in Houston. Here's hoping he's correct.

I was watching some video of Sanchez pitching. I had not seen him very much.

    He has Charlie Morton stuff.

High 90s darting fastball and when he throws it right that curveball is wicked.

He's as talented as anyone we have on the pitching staff, and if he can't be a starter he could be Ryan Pressly part 2 with an even better fastball.
