Ehh it is neutral depending on whether the Yankees or Dodgers did anything

F the Mets for holding the deadline hostage, but it's hard to be upset from an Astros perspective. Our main competition didn't get better.

Not that disappointed. We are better right now than we were this morning, and we addressed two needs hopefully without giving up much. I would have loved a starter, but if the asking price was as high as was rumored we may be better off.

Joe Biagini proving the Astros care very little about having a lefty. Assuming nothing too steep from the farm system this could be another gem to be polished by Strom in the next off season.

At least the Yankees and Dodgers didn't do anything.

I lost any confidence when the Mets acquired Stroman. The writing was on the wall they weren't gonna sell cheap, and teams clearly weren't willing to overpay.

Oh well, nobody else got better so we still have the best postseaosn roster in the AL.

Best trade deadline ever. Astros enter as the best team. Astros leave as the best team without giving up any ground to their main opponents and without giving up anything of significance.

Now it is just up to the Astros training staff, doctors, and third party masseuses to get this team to the playoffs healthy.

Astros did about the most that could be done once the Wheeler talks broke down.

They added someone for the pen and they addressed the catching situation.

More importantly the Dodgers and Yankees didn't do much either.

Overall it was a neutral trade deadline for the Astros.

Looks like we might have gotten Aaron Sanchez as well.

And the Dodgers should have some competition to wear them down (Braves).

It's not the exciting finish we wanted, but it works.

If everyone is healthy, the Astros have guys that will pitch the 7th - 9th regardless of how the opponents hit.

So how long till Tucker is up?

If he is so valuable he can’t be moved, when do we see him?

Because the Yankees and Dodgers did nothing of consequence I am fine with the deadline moves.

We needed an arm for the bullpen for this year and beyond.

Biagini also has a 0.00 ERA and a .545 WHIP in 6 games in the post season.
