    We can win it as is. But I would be more comfortable if we got some stronger bull pen help as it is hard to trust the likes of Rondon, Harris, and Devo. Osuna is not exactly nails either, but a lockdown closer ain't happening. Would be nice to add a started that gives you a chance in most games to win. I think winning home field is important. If the Yanks add someone they have a better chance at home field.

    So if we add no one. Yea, I will be dissapointed, but I don't think the FO wet the bed or anything like that.

    Yeah.......... it isn't the $400,000,000 that Epstein gave to these guys.... not at all......

    FWIW The Cubs do have prospects to make a move, but they know their salary situation is BAD.


    Do the Cubs win the WS without Chapman? IDK........ Do the Astros win the WS without Verlander?... IDK; but I do know that you would have done neither deal.

    Agree. But I think Cole is just this side of a pipe dream. Going to have to have a printing press to pay him the kind of $$ that Scott BoreASS will ask for.

    I don’t think astros fans are panicking. It’s more like hoping JL can improved the team by adding a
    McTaggart mentioned 300M on radio today. Not sure if realistic but i can see someone plan on giving Cole 7/250M. That someone will probably be the Angels.

    I feel exactly as you do
    also the closer role is so fickle, we were ecstatic last year to exchange giles with Osuna and this year it seems giles would be the better option

    So either we did not offer up what they wanted or he used his no trade to stay put in SF for his fatherly managers last hurrah...or the Stros just moved on to other matters due to so little time left on the clock.
