Eh, i'd take my chances with JV, Cole and Miley against that offense any day. Indians knew they weren't winning a playoff series without adding offense. They can still run Kluber and Bieber out there and now with a better offense, they got better
Wow what a wild scene in Cincy. Puig was not the instigator, but got involved with the rest of his teammates in an absolute brawl. Reds manager David Bell had apparently been ejected and came from the clubhouse out onto the field to join the melee. Bell was hurling f bombs at Clint Hurdle. Lol wow!
Interesting that both out of contention teams that traded for controllable starters (Mets and Reds) have rentals to sell (Wheeler and Roark). Both were likely trying to increase the value of their expiring assets by taking competitors out of the market.
And the Reds added a controlled starter with the main piece going out being a rental, then can trade their rental for prospects. If they are able to move Roark to finish the job they will have done extremely well. Castillo, Gray and Bauer is nice
It’s baseball so literally anything can happen over 5 or 7 games, it’s a roll of the dice. But if I’m playing against a team who I think my roster is better than, like I do playing Cleveland I’d rather it be a balanced team I’m better than than a team I’m worried about getting overwhelmed with against a strength. That’s probably off the table now. Really though I just want Cleveland to not win the division so Kluber only gets 1 start in Game 3 when we play them.
EDIT: what does San Diego get out of this? They traded a good 2nd year outfielder for a good prospect outfielder?
