Should the Rockets be interested or keep Mark Jackson as the backup point?

BOSTON - Veteran guard Lindsey Hunter was waived by the Boston Celtics on Wednesday without appearing in a game with his new team.

Hunter was acquired from the Detroit Pistons last Thursday as part of the blockbuster three-team deal in which Rasheed Wallace was shipped from the Atlanta Hawks to the Pistons. The Celtics acquired Hunter, Chucky Atkins, a 2004 first-round pick and cash in the deal.

The 33-year-old Hunter is a 12-year veteran who has averaged has averaged 10.3 points and 3.0 assists in his career. He averaged 3.7 points and 16 minutes in 11 games with Detroit this season.

God no...he sucked the last few years. Really bad. He was okay with LA, but he was so horrible with Milwaukee it's not even funny. I can't believe he's only 33, he's been around for awhile.

The only thing he has over Jackson is a better 3 pt. shot.

Just for the record, Lindsey Hunter is the worst clutch player ever to lace them up in the NBA.

    Check his playoff stats.
