OMG the amount of ifs in this sentence is depressing as hell.

I think Morey didn't want to use all his bullets on just getting Westbrook. If the Rockets had to give up more recent picks and perhaps Capela or someone to dump CP3's contract then it wouldn't make nearly as much sense.

People were aghast that the Rockets had to give up 2 1sts and 2 pick swaps, but from the Rockets win-now perspective it's much more important they don't lose value today than 5 years from now. When OKC were willing to take picks way later and CP3's albatross contract it becomes much easier to swallow from Morey's perspective. I mean, by 2024 either the Rockets had won a title and Morey has a lifetime contract, or he's fired and gets a gig elsewhere anyways. So this was a no-lose situation for him

I wonder how this changes fan's/media's perception and hopes of Rockets' future success now @Clutch?

Great article by Feigen. Morey is a stud and a killer, but not a stone cold killer.

Not sure how you could get that out of the article if you read it.

I'm guessing that as soon as Clippers were asking for Harden (hard NO) the Rockets were looking for the next trade partners.

    “6 days”

If you believe within less than a week they went from CP/unchanged/run it back mentality (which they were drinking shots about apparently) to byeeeeeee seepeeeeeee

I’ll wear the tinfoil hat proudly. “What’s taking so long?” Said James. Murphy replied, “dude I’ve been working on this for 5 months” :shot:

He wont be allowed to shoot midrange here... so he will only have to practice 3's and keep slammin the ball down people's throats.

I wonder if the people who complained that Feigen is a Houston Rockets shill will now believe this article saying that everyone was on board with this trade.

Another reason to doubt the supposed insiders around here ….

The board is so thirsty for anything they collectively bite on any morsel ….
