Reality is CP would not have been traded if...

On court value : contract ratio was better.

Morey’s goal is to win a championship.

Rockets with Harden + Westbrook probably has a greater chance to deliver.

    End discussion, move on.

He had a chance to win a ring but his body hasn't held up. He forced his way out of NO and LA, now the shoe is on the other foot and we get rid of him for a better chance to win it all. At least he did get his max deal in the end.

Chris missed what? 24 games a season while he was here and got hurt in the play-offs his 1st season which cost us a chance a to make the Finals?

Perhaps James was tired of being the one Amigo and carrying the team by himself.

Cry me a river. If Paul cared about wining he would have taken less so the Rockets could get more players or atleast retain Trevor. This character has a habit of wearing out his welcome in every stop

The stats definitely bear out that Harden continued to be much more ball dominant and looking for his shot, (while being less assist oriented) after Chris Paul's return on 1/27. However to be fair, both players had consistent EFFICIENCIES before and after CP3's injury.

    Harden averages before 12/20: 20.7 FGA, 45.7% FG, 37.7% 3PT, 5.7 RPG, 8.2 APG, 36.4 USG). 31.6 PPG
    CP3 out from 12/20 to 1/26: 29.2 FGA, 42.3% FG, 35.8% 3PT, 8.0 RPG, 7.7 APG, 43.8 USG). 43.6 PPG!!! (Added 12 PPG, while CP3 was out)
    Harden averages after 1/26: 25.2 FGA, 44.6% FG, 36.6% 3PT, 6.9 RPG, 6.5 APG, 40.0 USG). 36.0 PPG

    Paul averages before 12/20: 13.1 FGA, 41.6% FG, 35.8% 3PT, 4.2 RPG, 8.2 APG, 22.0 USG). 16.0 PPG
CP3 out from 12/20 to 1/26: No stats
    Paul averages after 1/26: 12.2 FGA, 42.3% FG, 36.1% 3PT, 5.0 RPG, 8.0 APG, 21.6 USG). 15.7 PPG

Harden's stats while CP3 was out still blows my mind when I look at them...

Yeah, for some reason he did not think Ariza was worth that money, he wasn't really but the crux was Fertitta also never thought 3 and D players were that hard to acquire.

He never found anyone like that.

If a player says, "if you wanna trade me I understand" then it's a sign he isn't exactly where he wants to be.

If he would have shown up in the playoffs, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

At worst, you have to be aggressive. CP3 looking scared to shoot was the nail in the coffin as far as Beard was concerned.

Oh well, CP3 has 160 million reasons to get over it. It's a business, check your "feelings" at the door please.

    That explains a lot

Wish Cp3 the best, but just like I supported Pippen and Barkley as rockets, I will root for Westbrook.

Exactly. When we were down 3-2 to a Durantless Warriors team our style of play should have been in question at that point and executed in action by him on the court to get the win. He gave us a great year where he got hurt unfortunately now it's time to move on.

As always the Clutchfans haters, whiners, and crybabies slandering Chris Paul like morons.

In reality, Paul has been nothing but a great leader and consummate professional on this team. Show him some respect.

That being said, I don't think Paul has any right to complain. He knew a trade was always within the realm of possibilities when he signed that massive $160 million contract at age 34 after a devastating injury and signs of decline due to age. This trade was strictly business.

Also, anyone slandering Morey. Please shut up!

Morey stood by Chris Paul and gave him a max contract even when morons on this board wanted him to back out after giving his word. Yes, this was not a good breakup for both sides, but it's definitely not the "knife-in-the-back" betrayal some morons here are making this out to be.

seems there are people who refuse to believe tilmen is worried about his money. Its one thing if you think Ariza is bad, thats fine just move him to the bench and go find a starter.

Is tilmen scared we have too much talent on our team or something? Hes not broke is he?

He hinted that he wanted to be traded....and he got traded. Some of you words/actions are not easily forgotten. Just ask Iggy if he regrets talking bad about the GS medical staff.

Even if you are a insider, it seems you are in Paul’s pocket. Stop making him out to be the victim
